It's the first set of rims. I really wish they would have put the C5's on (second set) but shit happens can alwasy change them neway.

Thanks, yeah me too those second ones look very sweet on there. The stock rims on the cobalt ss are 25 lbs a piece so it will be nice to lighten some wieght when i change them out.

Who won?

The Viper -- my 5th gear runs out before his... so I had to go into 6th. If we would have kept pulling upwards of 190 or so, he would have had to have gone into 6th, then it would have been over.

So... I won up to about 168 -- at which time i went into 6th, he pulled back what I had gained up to about 183 or so... and gained another car and a half on me :)

We both had to lift as we were coming up on a curve.

115 is tha fastest on the street with my car but a friend of mine took me down the drag strip in his 1970 Plumb Crazy Purple HEMI Cuda we polled a 14 sec on the quater mile and the car is stock and ALL orignal.

I'd say 130 in the SRT-4. Definately as fast as I will be going on stock suspension. You can feel it start to "stand up: around 115-120!!!

hmm.. prob about 165-170 in my 92 stealth TT.. me and a buddy with a 98 ram air TA got into an arguement because he said his ta had more top end.. so he maxed it out.. then I passed him!!!... it felt like a wind tunnel inside the car!! the speedo said 180.. but I'm sure it was a little off.. the car was hitting the rev limiter! The really cool part.. is I had another buddy with a 93 stealth TT.. and he passed me (FAST) after I was maxed out.. and pulling away!!!

also been about 135 on my 600RR!... that I just sold today :(

I've taken my SRT-4 up to 140mph and it feels like the most stable car at that speed that I've ever driven... even comparing it to the Supra which feels light and likes to walk on the road a bit. The SRT-4 just squats and goes, feels very stable.

No...its not going to shake into pieces. The reason mine may feel floaty is because the road surface is not the smoothest were I usually do my high speed runs. In fact its rather bumpy...so maybe that's the culprit. I just know that with coilovers and/or even springs and some bigger sways I would alot more comfortable at those speeds.

How about Zero to scary. I remember those.
1st Buryed the needle in a 426 powered Plymouth Fury with the top down. just try an stop that tank. :) All vibrations smooth out after 120 and all thats left is the wind.
2nd was a friends blown chevy 350 powered ford 't' bucket. At about 115 I relized that you can't steer. We adjusted the caster after I cleaned my shorts out. :)

Oh. and I've had my SRT up to 140, no worries. corners just come up real fast.

I've gone about 90 mph in my 04 cavalier which tops out at 110 mph. But that will all change when I get my cobalt

Had the SRT up to 150MPH and it honestly felt stable, very stable, but it probably would have only gone a few MPH more.

Well, ive been 160ish in neonphenoms SRT, personally ive ridden around 170ish on my R1. Ive driven 155 in a Mercedes SL 55... I guess they are limited because the car had so much more left in it.. Its almost depressing to see it supressed like that... felt like i was going 80... except for the cars looking like they were doing 100mph on reverse lol

Tell me about it. The fastest i've gone is 115 as well (98 Talon TSI), on traffic filled highway. It's amazing how fast you catch up to cars. I wasn't very comfortable at that speed. The Talon didn't ride well. It floated over every bump. :eek:

Yeah it is scary as hell but my Camaro did ok it was very controlable for being as old of a car that it is. But i was very surprised that i was able to keep right with my freinds Del Sol that little car handles like nothing i have ever riden in but i will never do it again it was so stupid of my self.

I could feel my car begining to pick up a bit.

The plus is you pass said trucks very quickly.

155 MPH indicated on my '85 VF1100S Honda, around 6500RPM in 6th gear (probably actually going 10-15 MPH slower, but believe me, running a bike up at those speeds is pretty intense. I cannot imagine running a new big bike up to 180+)

I was in my buddies (passenger) SRT 4 w/ the moon roof open and at 145 it made a loud pop and was broke, it wouldnt open or close, he took it to the dealer and they fixed it under waranty.

Mine has never begun to shake above triple digits, and I used to hit it almost every weekend on the drive down to my in-laws......5 mile strech of interstate with no oncoming traffic, just guard rails on both sides. 95 South

Thankfully only the hood was totaled. It was crushed in and it damaged the wiper blades. I have it on video. You cant see the bird but you can hear it hit. I had to laugh when it happened. I decided it was better to hit the bird than to slam on brakes or swerve.

I've been to around 160mph in my friends 1990 t-bird sc. that was fun as hell. I've also been in a 89-90 camaro w/ a corvette Z-R1 engine going god only knows how fast cuase the speedo maxs out at like 115.

I've gone 200+mph easy... did it today... and yesterday... No sweat. Small accomplishment.

hmmmm, it might not have been a usaf sticker. I was coming up i26 going towards 95 north...(about 3 months ago maybe) I was in an Orange Blast SRT, and I saw a black SRT-4 coming up in my rearview so I got over in the slow lane for a sec to let him by to see if I knew who it was, but they were hauling ass so I jumped back behind and stayed with them up to 120-130ish and backed off cause I had wife and kids with me.
