I'm pretty sure i'm going to get a SS Cobalt, yellow :) , but I was wondering if you can put up pipes and down pipes on them like you can on a turboed car?....sorry I don't know a lot about superchargers...also is there anything like a blow-off valve for a supercharger?

Some aftermarket centrifigal supercharger kits come with blow off valves, but the SS has the same roots blower as my Red Line, and there is really no need for a B.O.V on roots type supercharger. As far as the pipes, the throtle body, intake manifold, and air to water intercooler are all packed in close to, or are part of the supercharger. They are all on the front side of the Cobalt SS's engine so there is no pipes leading all over the place like on a turbo setup. The Supercharger runs off of the belts that the engine turns, not the exhaust. So there is no downpipe, or any pipe for that matter to change. There are however other mods to do. CAI for instance will give a good amount of power of a non SC car, also chaning the pulley size on the supercharger belt will turn up the PSI proportianlly to the size of the pulley.

So basically what is the easiest and cheapest way to get 300+ hp...I was thinking pulleys....CAI....and a borla exhaust

I think you will need more than that, pulley, intake, exhaust, injectors, fuel pump, ecu...that would probably do it.

With the stock setup on the SS you should be able to run about 20psi on the supercharger without breaking anything. That should boost your horsepower to right around 300. No other mods required due to the water/air intercooler. There are suggested mod parts that would help get more power ie. cai and free flow exhaust, but no problems should be experienced.
