you can buy them pretty much any site that sells turbos.

you have a interal wastegate so the bov is kinda pointless, but if you want one, more power to you..

Tial makes a nice bov

Synapse is known to be the best. Many cobalt owners use them (must modify to make any BOV work on the cobalt)

We sell tial and use it on our low hp cars and high hp car and have never had a single problem with them. I have never seen a bad diaphram, bad machine work, or missing parts, quality every time.

I am not sure what internal wastegate has to do with bov, please explain.

thought the waste gate let out the extra pressure in a similar way a bov does

The waste gate moves excess exhaust gas away from the turbine wheel(hot side) to keep the turbine wheel and compressor wheel at a desired rpm, so they both relieve pressure in a way, but a bypass or a blow off valve relieves charge pressure (cold side) which is related to the compressor wheel. When the throttle plate closes the extra charge air needs to be vented or your compressor wheel will experience surge or possibly brake depending on boost pressure.

got it, didnt realize one was hot side and one was cold site, the part that releases excess boost from a supercharger, is it a waste gate or another kind of bypass, im sure when the throttle is closed the extra air has to be leaked out somewhere, just figured id ask just to ask seeing as i dont know anyway lol

The excess boost pressure or boost pressure that isn't needed is exzherted through a bypass valve which then just "bypasses" the supercharger. A bov is before the throttle plate and releases the charged air to the atmosphere. Blow off valves are used on turbo and centrifical supercharger applications.

awesome, my brother gave me a gready rs bov and im either going to get the synapse IC+Piping Kit
http://www.synapseturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SM&Product_Code=syn-ics04&Category_Code=intercoolers
or the dejon IC+Piping
http://cobalt.dejonpowerhouse.com/
and have one of them weld on a flange for the bov, I shouldnt lose any type of power having a bov and an internal waste gate should I

I just got my 09 SS/TC and I have been searching around, and came to the conclusion of If I want a BOV, I have to buy a IC piping and have a BOV flange weld to it right? In that case would I have to buy a block off plate for the stock BPV or no? Thanks
