how much boost would a 2.4l ss be able to handle without internals???

IDK the exact amount of boost, but the safe point on the stock internals is ~315. Anything above that is pushing it.

The bad part about these 2.4's is that 10.4:1 comp. Unfortunately, IDK of any companies making rods/pistons. You can get them custom made, but that's going to be pricey.

turbo all the way. i didnt know that the 2.4 could handle 315 on stock internals... i should be fine for awhile. i should just send u pms. ur the only one who answers all my questions lol

Just a thought, you might be able to run a thicker head gasket to lower the compression a little bit. I know the S2K guys run a 3mm gasket to bring their compression down a bit with good success, but the B series motors don't seem to like that. Not sure how much it lowers it, or how well it would work on cobalts, but maybe something you could look into. Lowering compression by using low compression pistons is the best way to do it but this may be a cheaper alternative.
