i just bought a 2009 chevy cobalt ss/tc, what would you recommend to increase performance without voiding my warranty?

Check out www.TurboTechRacing.com we have many items. No parts should void your over all warranty. If you are worried, and would have a factory warranty issue, take an hour or two and remove the part(s)

Honestly............tune it. There is Absolutely no dollar for dollar comparison for what a tune will do with these cars. Do it, I assure you, you will think you're in a different car!

How do I go about getting it tuned? I live in Cincinnati, where would I go?

Dealership? Possibly? Or you could find someone that knows what they are doin and has tuned an SS before

Go to trifectaperformance.com, If I were you I'd call Vince (owner) and let him tell you more but basically he sends you a scan tool with a preloaded tune based on how you want it. You can have him modify boost, rev limiter, top speed, advance timing, etc. You download the tune on your car and make logs with the scanner, send the logs back to Vince via email, he makes adjustments as he sees necessary. So, for $250 and about an hour worth of your time, you will have on average 40-55whp and 60-70wtq. There are other tuners out there but after talking to Vince several times, and the fact that he writes his own software for the tune, it was a no brainer for me.

I plan on getting exhaust, intake, and pressure piping done, should I get this stuff then tune or tune then get the stuff??

get the stuff then tune other if you tune then get stuff then you will just have to tune again, some places offer some type of retuning for free once you buy the original
the downpipe is the most restrictive piece on the car as far as the exhaust goes hahn, zzp, adm, and cia all have downpipes

You can put Stage 1 on it too. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/store/Cobalt-Solstice-HHR-Stage-Kit-19212670-P2292C196.aspx
