: New to the Site and to the SS.
Army CobaltSS 08-28-2009, 11:07 PM I have had many many types of cars ranging from a 89 Mazda B2000 Truck to a Geo Metro. The last car that I had before I sold it to get the Cobalt SS was a 2002 VW Jetta 1.8T. That was a pretty quick car but this one blows it out of the water. The only thing that I have had problems with is the damn extended GM Warranty. I want to put some aftermarket parts on the vehicle and the warranty says that just the simple addition of the parts voids the entire warranty. I read through the warranty and it doesn't say anything about just simply adding parts voids it, it says that IF the parts cause damage then it does. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and has had any luck with getting them to let you add parts.
By the way I wrote a two page description of what I wanted to add and how it will not do any damage because of the 260 HP and 260 TQ limit on the car. All that I would be doing is adding to the power band. Oh and I have also been looking on the internet for a universal exhaust that will work with the 08 SS/TC but none of them say that they will work it's mainly for the 2.4L sport or the SS/SC 2.0L.

skoal*boy 08-31-2009, 05:01 PM Look bolt ons arnt going to mess up ur can unless you suck at putting a nut on a blot and tightning it. Where ur going to mess up is if you try tuneing ur car urself. You can get "canned" tunes that are safe for your car. As you can see the list of stuff i have and i still have my warranty and the dealership knows what i have.
Army CobaltSS 09-02-2009, 06:12 AM Thanks. I know someone that works at a GM dealer and I am going to get the GM Stage 1 Kit for the car. Then I am going to get the Hahn CAI, Hahn 3" Exhaust and an Intercooler most likely Hahn with the Hahn Charge Air Piping.

skoal*boy 09-09-2009, 09:40 AM The hahn intercooler would be nice but i think there alittle over priced. Look at the dejon intercooler. its cheaper.
