not all dyno's read the same, plus, that is on a Mustang dyno which are known to be stingy.... the numbers aren't bad, but the real indicator to me is trap speed...
skoal*boy 09-03-2009, 12:56 PM Ur right mustang dynos are alot different then dyno jets. but mustang dyno are good for rwd cars and dyno jets are good for fwd.
LittleMT 09-03-2009, 11:51 PM but mustang dyno are good for rwd cars and dyno jets are good for fwd.
Really? How is this so?
LittleMT 09-11-2009, 12:40 PM Bump to hear the explination of why a Mustang Dyno is good for rwd and dyno jets for fwd.
cmiller8006 09-11-2009, 07:02 PM I am up for an explanation as well.
skoal*boy 09-11-2009, 07:26 PM ^^^^^ well thats how i feel atleast. i guess ya dont. lol
LittleMT 09-11-2009, 08:19 PM The truth of the matter is, neither dyno is more beneficial for either rwd or fwd. The dyno's have a different loading system, Mustang dyno's tend to be stingier then a Dyno-jet. Both are very effective and essential tuning tools and one must use what is available to them...
Army CobaltSS 09-12-2009, 05:05 AM A dyno is a dyno....granted some are better than others but it will give you pretty accurate numbers still.
molitor07 09-12-2009, 05:35 AM all that money for that much power? i have like $2,500 in performance parts on my stang and im at that much power, lol, for 6k I could buy a procharger and be at 460 rwhp and for 8k I can get a TT kit and be just under 900 rwhp. I think you should get a second opinon on your numbers aka a different dyno
Army CobaltSS 09-12-2009, 06:43 AM Either that or he got a shitty as twin charge kit that didnt do shit.
LittleMT 09-12-2009, 10:11 PM This kit made 361hp on a Mustang Dyno, it would probably be hovering around 400hp on a Dyno-Jet, the AFR's are nice and fat or rich which indicates a safe tune... Also, we are not told what the boost is set at which makes all the difference in the world. Take my SRT for example, at 17 psi it made 417hp, at 32 psi it made 637hp. Same for my GTO, the twins at a mere 6lbs made 571hp, the system has made over 1000hp on 18psi and fully built engines. Chances are the boost could be turned up on this kit if it had a built engine and make bigger numbers.
