i dont have a supercharged cobalt but this is the best forum ive found so i was wondering if someone could answer my question

is there a way to take the speed limiter off? the car cuts out at about 110mph but i can tell it can do more. i know its a safety thing but i live in germany where i can drive more than 110mph on the autobahn. thank you

not sure how, but ive done 123 mph in my ls cobalt. that sucks your limiter is so low. i know mines limited too, and im planning on a little less modding than yourself in the not too distant future, and the limiter has got to go.
P.S. I ofcourse tested this 123 mph on a safe track.....right........

I believe that the limit cars equipped with low speed rated tires. If the car went 140 and the tires shredded from exceeding their recommended top speed they may be held liable.
