ok, i've got my request for info in to K&N, and am now rallying the troops on a K&N intake group buy. i did one for the RL and it turned out great.

no prices yet, but post here to show your interest. one thing for sure is we'll get them WAY cheaper than ANYONE on the market will let them go for. if you want to see how it went, search for the group buy on the RL forums, or ask around here and there, most of the K&N's came from me and once they got in they were all out from me withing a day or two. let the frenzy begin...

first poster, post as follows:

s/n (e.g., vita) - (in for sure/maybe depending on price)

everyone after that, quote the post above you and add yourself in. this makes it MUCH easier for me.

this is also to gauge how many i'll need to tell them to check on prices as it all depends on how many we get together. for the RL buy in, we got a price of 215 for 30 (i ended up paying for 7 of them) when the cheapest you'll find them now is 250. this is just an example, and no indication of what prices will be as the list could be cheaper or more expensive than the RL intakes...

So, I thought you didn't want to handle anymore group buys huh? lol, you got SOO pissed last time when K&N RAN OUT OF INTAKES:eek: :eek: !!! Fun times. It's all good. This guy will get ya what you want, with a very very good price beating all the competition. Glad to see ya doin this Vita, and have fun :D.

again, i'm just gauging interest, because as soon as they are available i want to be able to find out a price for how many we'll need.

and for the guy/gal who asked, i've always had AEM intakes, and after getting the K&N for the RL, the quality seems much better. they seem to go the extra step to make a quality product. AEMs are nice and all, but after seeing what they made for the RL i can't support their product.

you'll know what they look like when they release it. i also believe that it should be coming sooner than later. if anyone has info about it, let me know.

it's just easier for me to know how many are actually interested when they're released, because last time they sold out because i didn't know how many wanted in. by knowing the number of people who want one, i can get a price quote pretty much the day they are released.

magnuson moss act states that an aftermarket part only voids the warranty on that part. they can't deny a warranty claim on your radio for it at all. though some dealers are lame when it comes to this situation, most are ok with an intake/exhaust setup as they're still within the ranges of the stock PCM, and honestly won't hurt the car.

i'll ship to canada, i shipped out a couple to canada for the RL guys, it's just a bit more on shipping, and a bit longer.

again, i'll know price once it's out, at that point i'm using this thread as a basis for how many to order. i'm ordering some myself to have some in stock, as well as some more for the RL, so that'll bring prices down even more. the more we have the cheaper it is. the RL group buy proved to produce the cheapest prices on the market. i'll have some in stock after it's all said and done, but those are mine for profit. anyone who wants in gets them at my cost, kind of a rub my back i'll rub yours thing. K&N e-mails you if you request info when they're available, so once that's received, i'll let everyone know it's in, post a list of who i've got to confirm the # needed, and then get a price based on so many ordered. we got 30 for the RL, and a really good price. looks like we're at ~15 or so at least by the time we get going, not counting others who haven't had a chance to post to this. once i know they're available, i'll get the price and we can go from there.

all i know is we're pretty much guaranteed to get the cheapest price on this buy, and it'll secure more for future buyers at a cheap price since i'll be stocking a few

you guys sure can make things difficult...

i've got a call in to get the price, or to find out that they're not officially available. but this is the second buy i've got going, so i think the distributor is going to be a little more warming to the idea of giving out a price for such a large order this time around.

i'm going to go through the thread tonigh, and get a list of who's in, then when i've got the price start a new thread. from there it's in or out. if you're in, we're going to start taking money from the get go, if you're out, don't clutter up the thread. this is a lot of work to get this going, and keep it going, so keep things to a minimal. if you wonder what it'll do too warranty, my threads are NOT the place for that...

in otherwords, stay tuned...

Someone over on .Net called and was quoted $378 +tax...availalbe tomorrow direct from K&N.... :eek:

IF that is true, then screw them.....my money will be going for a header, and maybe an intake from AEM or Injen
