What the??? The SS doesn't have a block heater? I live in canada! What about me? Hows this thing gunna start?

Get a car starter and let it sit in idle for a few? :)
Personally, if there was a car that I was going to baby, I wouldn't drive it in winter. I'm from Alberta.

yeah, but even with a car starter, its gunna be hard (maybe impossible) to turn over on these -30 or -40 days.

on the ss? the builder on the gmcanada site didn't have it as an option.
well, i can prob live without it, i'm moving in april and i'll have a garage then. that should help. :)

well it isn't right now...but i really wanna heat it. when u live in saskatchewan you really need a nice warm place to work on ur car! :)

Yup its an option on the SS, I dont need it because my SS will be in a heated garage and wont be driven in the winter, and NO NOT WEIGHT REDUCTION ! lol :p

Anyway, I've noticed something with some dealers. They automatically throw in block heaters for Canadian models. I remember this because I didn't want one but it was included. I believe this was the case in my last 2 cars.

yeah i know, they just seem to throw them in. its like there not even an option. thats why i was so supprised at what i read on the gm site...

I hope they throw it in. They didn't on the car my girlfriend bought a couple years ago. I took a look on the first cold snap and realized that it didn't have one. It just doesn't make sense not to include one in Alberta. You just have to know that turning it over at -35c isn't very good for it, though it has never had a problem starting.
