and just for you guys who think im an idiot for not getting a SS to begin with. Its because i have really high insurance, im paying 212.00$$$ a month for a 4 dr cobalt....

It's a little bit more than a head swap (otherwise why stop there- bolt on the 8.1 head!) :D j/k
Seriously, almost the entire engine is different
- different crank (longer stroke)
- different block/sleeves/pistons (bigger bore)
- different head/cams (includes the VVT)
There's probably more, this swap would take some serious coin (a lot more than you're saving on insurance)

why not get a 4 door SS?

why so much for your insurance? mine is only $224 a month for a full load SS/SC and im only 20. and you think 212 is bad? try $398 a month for a truck. that was bad.

thats about how much i was paying for my silverado.... i know how ya feel... i been there... but i dont make enought to go back to it, id be paing at least 400+ for a ss. i havce to many other bills now to afford it... :(
