today at work i did a service on a cayenne turbo. after i finished i decided to take it for a spin cause i had never driven one before. there is this area we take our cars to and test them after working on them. it is a public road but hardley any cars ever on it. i was at the intersection of the main road thats long and straight. sitting diectly in front of me on the other side of the road was an srt4 waiting to turn onto the road i was waiting for. we turned at the same time and ended up side by side and we both hit it at about 10-15 and i walked away from him (actually the porsche did all the work) all the way up to 90 and had about 4-5 cars on him. he had a passenger and im sure it was stock and he might not have been a good driver cause i thought it would be a closer race. i just wish i could walk on an srt4 with my car :(

hows that, when the 0-60 on the cayenne turbo is 5.0 - 5.6 sec. Which if im not mistaken is close to the supposedly claimed stock #'s for the srt4.

All to say is that Cayennes are sweet!!! :) And if I am not mistaken they are mid to high 13 sec SUVs, where as SRT-4s(stock) are high 13s low 14s. So I understand the walkage, all Cayennes are autos right? So no mistakes. ;)

yea im pretty sure they are all autos. yea i have always heard of them running mid 13s. know its awd 450 hp but they really are not as fast as some people think. and the awd did not help in this case a race from a stop would have been really good.

Stock for stock the Cayenne should edge out an SRT-4 with equal drivers but from 10-90 and 4-5 cars? Seems like a little much if you ask me. The Cayenne is rated at about 5.4 0-60 and 13.8 in the 1/4 which is, at most, .2 seconds faster than an average stock SRT-4. Bad driver maybe or he let off once you started to pull a tiny bit? I dunno, good kill though. BTW, remind me never to take my car to your shop because I would not want it to get beat on. LOL

Unless you both took off at the same time, it wasn't a fair race. The only way to make it fair from a roll is the three beep honk that way there are no excuses. You probably got a slight jump on him and thats all it takes with two similar vehicles for one to pull the other that much.

actually i did get on it slightly before him but it didnt matter cause the cayenne had major turbo lag. he got like 5 feet in front at the beginning that was all
