Ok so i dont know much about cam gears and im looking at getting them for my 2.2. is there anything wrong that could happen with installing these... eg. what happends if they slip, is there a possability of blowing up my engine, from having them installed incorrectly, etc?????

thanks, im completly clueless with these except that you retard/forward the adjustments to gain more power and torque (and i dont even know how that gets more power out of it).

If you dont really understand how an engine works I wouldnt recommend doing cam gears yourself. Probably not wise to be playing with cam timing if you dont know what your doing... Not trying to be insulting at all just warning :) Maybe try and find a local speed shop that can put them in and adjust them on the dyno.....

i know how an engine works, but not much about cam gears...... sry!!!

p.s. work sucks. try and stop 30+ women (most pregnant) from using a bathroom and tell them they have to walk 60 yards to another rest room

Well i guess there is always a POSSIBILTY of the cam gear slipping or failing... Ive never seen a correctly installed one have anything happen though...

The new gear just allows you to adjust Intake and/or Exhaust cam timing to the engine (when the intake and/or exhaust valves open).. A lot of time with a couple of degrees adjustment either retarded or advanced you can gain some power....
