im sure no one has noticed this yet cause im sure it would be posted already. they must have just added it cause i check it every couple days.
PN 69-4516TS i think that has been posted but you can go to this link and see the actual picture, installation instructions that look very detailed, and also a dyno chart :) 8.1 hp gain at 5700 and 7.3 ft lbs. at 5700. i love that gain in torque.

so you get nearly as much gain as adding some shorty headers? doubtful...

Why is the torque and hp with the filter lower that stock between 2500 & 3000 rpm ?

Peace

Will that fit the 2.2L LS?

Nope. You have to remember that we have a supercharger on top of our motors.

are you saying you don't believe this intake gives us 8hp? Keep in mind that intake is going ontop of a supercharger. Forced induction = easier hp

wonder why they did a second gear pull and not 4th  i'm going to order one of these either way but not sure why the dyno says 2nd gear

Ok why is the peak power "stock" at 211hp?? That only makes sense if it was measured at the fly wheel but the pulls were done in 2nd gear so it must be WHP...but that is too high for WHP stock. Everyone seems to be pulling 188-191WHP stock.

Unless they are correcting the WHP to Crank HP based on average loss from crank to wheels like 15% or something.

More than likely they are using fourth gear to dyno.
We have put on at least 15-20 dyno runs on our Cobalt SS and have **consistently** put down 214-222 hp depending on modifications in third gear pulls.

Also likely, we are comparing different dynos, from different dates, temperatures, atmospheric pressures, etc. Whats important, is the before and after number on the same dyno.

I've checked with k&N's partners and I don't see that anyone has it in stock yet? Has anyone found it anywhere? Also I have an '06 SS/SC. I think it will be fine on both '05 and '06 but I haven't had the chance to really look at an '05. Anyone know if this will work on '06 as well?

Another post has the info on availability. How about the '05 vs. '06 question I have?

Thanks!

Of course no one has it in stock. It was just released !

We will have our shipment either 10-7 or 10-10 at Modern Performance, and have already begun taking preorders for this intake. If youd like to get one, we advise placing a preorder for one so that youll have one reserved, and shipping late this week/early next week !

If they did the pulls in 2nd gear it would make a whole lot of TQ and not near as much HP, that is why you dyno in the gear that is as close to 1:1 ratio as you can.

Right........well I just bought my car a week ago and decided to look around for performance upgrades. Any word on price from K&N? I don't order anything unless I know the cost.
