Alright guys, as promised to everyone in our previous posts, the Cobalt SS intake is arriving shortly !! We had made posts that they would be available late September, and we were off by only 1-2 weeks. Now, we have confirmation from K&N that our shipment is on the way, and we have a freight pro bill number that we have used to track the inbound shipment.
Id say as early as Friday, and latest Monday, we will have received the intakes, and begin shipping them. We will also be posting pictures, dyno results and a video of it on our car as soon as we receive them.
If you havent already reserved a K&N intake system for your Cobalt SS, then now is the time to do it !! Give us a call to get the intro price on this unit, and get one reserved for yourself !! We will NOT bill your credit card until it ships!

Available only in silver
One piece system, installs with factory MAF perfectly

I cant say for sure as I havent heard anything from our rep at K&N, however I think they will be making one, and we will surely be stocking it here for ya !

Me too ! Its going to be awesome when we get them, shipping all of these intakes out to all the Cobalt SS boys and girls around North America ! We are going to have a lot of happy customers out there, and a lot of jealous import owners after they hear the supercharger whine !

Im wondering whats going to happen to all of these other shops that keep claiming that this part wont be available until another 3-4 weeks, that its been delayed, etc other lies when we begin shipping this piece off today/early next week ! !

One of my buddies owns a performace shop so I looked up the price on the K&N it is $327.00 but at his cost it is $207.00. So I will be getting mine every soon.. :D
1stBluSS 10-10-2005, 03:17 PM I just got off the phone w/ Modern Performance and they said the kit will cost $224. Consider this an ordered item. :D
BizoCG 10-10-2005, 04:01 PM I just got off the phone w/ Modern Performance and they said that K&N shipped them the wrong air filters so they will be shipping them out tomorrow. I also asked if you could tell if it gave you more boost on the "BOOST" gague he said "I have not looked at that when I have been driving my SS". Also I asked if it gave you better gas mileage??. He said "I also have not looked at their".. Also he said "That you can hear the SuperCharger wineing up when you punch it".. Last thing they said "It will give you 6-8hp"..... I forgot to ask them also how long will it take to ship out. So if anyone else calls them please post it on how long will it take to get..
Modernceo 10-10-2005, 04:25 PM Update :
We have test fitted the intake, and its components, and everything looks good however there was a packing mistake with the filters at K&N. They have included the wrong size filter in our kits and so they will not fit. We have talked with K&N and they will have the replacement filters to us by tomorrow/wednesday and we will then be repacking them with the newer filters.
Once we repack them with the new filters they will be ready to install, and good to go. We will then be shipping them out to all of the Cobalt boys and girls across the country.
Thank you for your patience. We are sad this has happened, but we are glad that we test fitted the intake for quality assurance, and that K&N is taking good care of us and our customers (you!).

Yeah... 200$ is kinda expensive for what seems like I could do in my garage with the welder and some stainless steel tubing... But nonetheless, the supercharger whine sounds SICK, so I have to get one :D .
Modernceo 10-11-2005, 10:22 AM FINAL UPDATE: We have received the filters, and will begin packing the intakes with the new filters.
When most other vendors would just ship out the intakes without test fitting them, Modern Performance is proud to be the first one to find out about this issue, contact K&N, and get it all corrected before shipping these intakes out to our customers. Thank you all for your patience !! We will begin shipping these off today !
