G85 is the limited slip differential and recaro seat option.

yup, u can order a that package at the dealer.

A $1,500 (MSRP) option (for 2005 model), the exact description is worded:

G85, PERFORMANCE PACKAGE, includes (G85) Differential, limited-slip and driver and front passenger leather-accented RECARO bucket seats (Requires Leather Seating Surfaces w/Ebony Inserts.)

Don't look for this option on the first Cobalt SS's to hit your local dealers as it is in build constraint at the moment.

Correct, leather is standard on the SS.
The point that GM is making is that you can't get the Red, Blue or Yellow Leather Inserts with the Recaro's, they only come in black (Ebony).
