05Yellow,

Crane just released there 2L Supercharged cams that feature better duration and will produce better power. JBP always inflates there horsepower claim's.

i will be honest with u guys. FI cars will never get anywhere near 20whp from cams...10 at best.

there just isnt much affect from them. stock cams on a car that comes fi are as efficient as it gets. on an NA car u want more lift and such, but fi is completely different. and there isnt much any company can do to make them better than they are.

still though 600 bucs for 10 ponies is great. mine were 1200. but i got 45whp from them too!

You are stupid that is all I can say. You really do not know what you are talking about. Sorry to call you out but some people should just be quiet.

u guys are fuckin idiots. i do no what i am talking about and u will not get 20 or even 15 whp from cams on a s/c car running at most 16psi. my buddy has 15grand into his STi running 31psi and his crower fi custom cams net him 17whp. on a 2.5 liter with more than twice the boost, with custom cams. im telling u that its still good gain for the money. but it wont be 20. there isnt much to change from stock.

so chevy fanboy, u really need to keep quite! ive had cars for longer than uve been alive and my own shop, i also cnc machine my own heads! so hush!!!

Don't make me laugh old man. You have no idea who you are talking to. I have built, installed, and tuned over 500 motors with over 20 magazine covers. I have forgotten more than you will ever know. The guy who sweeps the floor at my shop knows more about motors than you do.

P.S. Glad to see your buddy has a STI that really makes you a expert on cams.

Lol, own your own shop, but cant' spell "know". Nice...remind me never to go there.

With any kind of forced induction motor, the gains are on a linear scale. If the stock cam is very tame, and usually is, then by pushing the limits of the cam, you'll make gains. Then add boost on top of that, and more gains. More boost, more gains. Add more effecient heads, more gains.

But its so idiotic to say flat out that theres no way to get 20whp from cams. Don't make me start posting more links of GTPs who gain 50whp easily from just swapping cams.

And if you do all the mods in the book, then do cams, you'll easily get way over 20whp on any motor, even these small 4 cyliders.

This is absolutely correct. Cams help the engine breathe. More air= more power but that air has to be able to enter and escape easily. You may replace the cams and only see 15hp but if you also have changed your exhaust and intake setup, replacing the cams can net much higher hp.
Whether it's FI, Carbed, NA or boosted, there are always gains with allowing the motor to breathe///
