I installed a used boost gauge and it reads 10 psi. of vacuum with out the car turned on. I have a 3.25 in. pulley installed and at max boost it only reads 7-8 psi when i should be running 14. Has anyone installed a autometer boost gauge, that whould know if the car runs that amt. of boost stock or is it the gauge.

you mean it runs at 10 hg vacuum then will max out at 8 psi right? sounds like somethings wrong with the gauge or the install. should idle around 20 hg i think and yeah you should be getting way more boost.

The gauge should read 0 when the car is turned off. I have an Autometer boost guage in my Red Line and it sits on 0 when the car is off and I see 11-12 psi of boost when driving. I agree that the the gauge is messed up.

I used a plastic vacuum t-fitting, I think it was 1/8" but I am not sure.
