On a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged to get more Supercharger whine like I see in all these videos, is all I need is a Cold Air Intake??? Like From K&N etc. thats what they say they have on the videos but I am thinking no way. So my question is does only a CAI give you more supercharger whine?

Absotively- the stock setup is designed specifically with noise reduction in mind, so lose that airbox and jangled piping, and voila! More noise.

So with a smaller pulley, and CAI im talking lots of whine? :D Sweet I was looking at the stock exhaust looks very sound dampening, but I like thats you can hear it but its not to loud. But I am deftinally going to order a CAI does K&N look to be the best or what?

i wouldnt order it just yet. wait until someone has figured out the cause of the lean codes. one person on this forum suggested they were fake, but i put my stock box back on. even now i can still smell my catalytic converter get really hot, im wondering if the cai caused any damage to the 02 sensor.
maybe you can get ahold of GREDDY...they make a piggy-back for our computer, used with the smaller pulleys. ask them if their unit would correct/eliminate the lean codes, or research some better fuel injectors. i will say, though, the cai is sooooo awesome on the supercharger...max boost hits much sooner, like at 4400 rpm rather than redline.

I'm perfectly happy to wait. All the upgrading and cels should be figured out in the next 5 months.............I hope!

So wait a Cold Air Induction is causing the cars to run lean? and throw Check Engine Light??? How does that happen I thought K&N said no CELs and stuff? So with just a CAI it messed with the computer?

dif people are saying different things ive noticed about none of the 06 have got the cel or if they did it went away within about 50 miles. the 05 was more of if they disconnected the battery or not i would say not to because the people who didnt reported not getting a cel.

I get the lean code, but every time I dyno my afr always shows rich. Even when the light is on.
