Boother 03-17-2005, 10:15 PM The dealer here in Calgary, Alberta said it would be mid June before we get one. They have 12 on order though.
CoBIZZLE 03-17-2005, 10:37 PM TWELVE!?!?! Holy crap they should send at LEAST half of those to west Tenn.!!!!
87camaroPA 03-18-2005, 06:12 AM Holy shit there is alot of them in PA.
JamesBrown 03-18-2005, 08:26 AM Anybody know why PA is getting all of the first SS/SC's? I feel so left out over here on the west coast :(
maverick007 03-18-2005, 09:47 AM I was up at my brothers last night in Lordstown,Ohio. I drove past the GM plant, there are at least a 100 SS's sitting in their lot. I was wondering wich one was mine!!!! Probably none of them, my chevy dealer here in Wooster, Ohio told me end of May.Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! They are making them an hour from my house and other states are getting them first! I am sad , although mine is on order. Black w/ Ebony leather and red inserts and everything you can get on it. This weekend I will try and drive up there and snap photos so we can all droool!!
OldSkool 03-18-2005, 02:26 PM The Pa dealerships came up from a "no cars in your area"(Cleveland) result, do you want to check other nearby dealers?
I tried to do the same using a Chicago Zip code and nothing came back at all. No SS Cobalts in that part of US at all.
I guess Pa got the lucky first pick.

Me to i might wait long enough to see if they are raiseing up the power of the Cobalt SS. I really hope to because that would make me very happy and maybe they will lower the price of them. But i geuss that is just wishfull thinking.
CoBIZZLE 03-21-2005, 02:42 PM Well I could do you a favor and go ahead and buy one, cause as soon as I do they'll up the power AND lower the price!!!!!LOL j/k
But seriously that would probably happen, and if I do wait there will probably be no change whatsoever.

The Lordstown plant has not produced an SS since 3/2/05 due to too many problems to even list.

Actually I should have been clearer.
Normal production was put on hold last week (only 1-2 cars per day were built) so they could get several build issues ironed out, they have resumed shipping cars to dealers but have yet to build a production SS in color 56U (Sunburst Orange Metallic) this car was not built for normal sale thru a dealer, I will see if I can't find out were it is heading.
Production of the SS is currently at a rate of about 5-10 cars per day.
It's none of your business were I get my info from or what the problems are, the cars that are arriving at the dealers are fine.
The west coast (Monroe WA) just received its first SS (black on black).
CoBIZZLE 03-22-2005, 11:23 AM Man thats what I want to... black on black with the performance package...
...drools... :o

GM can't even get the info about the Cobalt or the Ion when you ask them for it, every piece of information that comes across this board, or the Redline forums is all rumor or speculation. Yet, he knows everything...

ZX1100F1 03-22-2005, 05:30 PM You idiotic moron if I knew what problems they are having I would post it, the DCS memo I read simply stated "numerous production issues with the car".
And if you would have read (and comprehended) my post regarding GMS pricing; I wrote that GMS is $21,613.20 on an SS Cobalt with a sticker price of $23,810 (which 90% of the ones built so far cost) This is a FACT that anyone in the industry can verify.
johnkb8 03-22-2005, 05:48 PM It's none of your business were I get my info from or what the problems are, the cars that are arriving at the dealers are fine.

sounds to me like you know the problems, thanks for lying!, so do i look like the moron now, cause you are the one that lied! said they stopped production on SS on 3/2/05 thanks for that lie! anymore lies!!!!!!!!!! moron
that price you gave for GMS was in a thread that i was talking about GMS price on just a regular SS, yep one more lie! cause you said i couldnt get my SS for GMS at 19,469.15  suprised yet
ZX1100F1 03-22-2005, 06:56 PM Here is the link to the "GMS pricing" thread loser, my post is the 2nd one and so direct and easy to understand a kindergartner could comprehend it.
http://www.cobaltss.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219&page=1
And I still say; that you haven't bought an SS for "$19,469.15" as you have continued to lie about.
Do you have an order# or a VIN?
Didn't think so.
CoBIZZLE 03-22-2005, 08:38 PM I don't think anybody knows when or where they are coming. I say everybody just get patient and wait. Oh and I don't care if it was Bob Schmultz hisself, I wouldn't give VINs or order #s over a public forum. Anybody could get that, track your car and jack your shit the first day you got it. Be careful with givin out info over the internet... to ANYBODY!

You're joking right?
You can't even list your car for sale on Ebay or Autotrader without posting the VIN.

You're a moron right?
CoBIZZLE 03-23-2005, 09:29 AM I knew about autotrader (didn't know that about ebay though) But no I'm not joking, with all this "ID theft" I wouldn't give any specific personal info to anybody that I don't know.

Given the above figures, the $21,613 is right in line with what a GMS discount would be for a $23K sticker price. Shit, it's more than what GM gave on the ION Red Line (7.0%) and close to what Pontiac was willing to give me on a GTO (10%). If the $19,649 is supposed to be taken from a $23,810 sticker, that would make it an 18% discount, and at that point I will call bullshit. 18% is just not happening. Now, if that $19,649 includes GMS plus other discounts, all is possible.
Not trying to pick a fight, just trying to understand why this $19k GMS price is too low compared to all other GMS prices across the board.

Since when is an order # or VIN "personal info"?
My order # HWWSVJ
Now your SS # or credit card # is a different story, but there aint much someone can do with a lousy order or VIN #.
Of course if you haven't got an SS coming for real then its a whole different story and excuses are necessary.

whatever ya say, sorry you are a manager for GM buypower you know it all (as i look at my invoice number and vehicle purchase contract)... ;)
CoBIZZLE 03-23-2005, 08:25 PM A vin# becomes personal to me the second I buy/order a car!!!
