I went by my dealer today , to check part #'s and prices .
He called GM Performance Parts and was told kit part #'s are good but they have not been kitted yet about 2 weeks we should see them .
The Exhaust Manifold is available P#19131972 List $335.00 will sell to me for $269.68 .( Ordered one ) . And the Cat back system p#17802111 was in the system but no parts available yet List $598.00 Sell to me for $474.15 .so you can see some prices will be higher then posted in link .They would'nt give him any more info till they are released ..

Did you get any install pricing out of them at all?

No i did not ask about install prices , i will install them my self (ASE Certfied Master Tech And GM Certified Tech ) .I no longer work for the dealer but do have connections if needed for a reflash of the PCM .( Maybe they will surprise us and make the kit come with a Programmer ) that we can do our selfs ( wishfull thinking i bet ) .Most dealers will do a re-flash for 1 hour shop labor in my area thats $65.00 so not bad if you had to pay for it ..

I'm sure you are very capable to do the upgrades yourself along with many things that most folks can't do. From what I hear this is supposed to be pretty straight forward and if you can change your brakes then this wouldn't be a big deal to do on your own. Injectors aren't tough, the pulley swap should be ok just getting the new belt on right would be the toughest thing and that is not all that.

The reason I ask though is to get the warranty the rumor has been that you have to get the kits installed by the dealer. I wonder if this holds true or if it is a matter of install then have the dealer do the re-flash and validate. Those are the two scenarios I read about around the internet.

From what my Dealer tells me. You can install them yourself without voiding the Factory warranty and the reason is they are Gm Approved Factory parts .

Also you guy's and Gal's know we are better off not Taking are cars to the dealer unless it's a 100% neccesary , they always seem to screw things up and they dont treat our cars with the respect we do .

Tha is soooo f**king true. I've had more damage done to my SS at the dealer than what I could have possibly done myself in two weeks time while it was waiting for a part.

I had hoped it wouldn't void the warranty considering it was a GM part. Also it appears that the parts themselves are warranty. This is the biggest reason I chose the SS over the SRT-4. Mopar doesn't warranty their parts.
