The Trailblazer SS is no surprise; powered by a 391 hp/395 lb-ft of torque version of the LS2 6.0-liter V-8, it can be ordered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Chevy is estimating the 0-60 time at 5.7 seconds for the Nürburgring-tuned SUV. Outside the truck gets a lowered, monochromatic look inside the colors turn to ebony and flat satin. The seats get heftier side bolsters and SS stitching. At all four corners are 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and four wheel disks (12.8-inch rotors at the front). StabiliTrak and a rear air-leveling suspension are also standard for the SS.

The SS rides 1 inch lower that its more pedestrian versions and was taken to Germany to tune the suspension. 25 percent stiffer springs and the lower center of gravity help control body roll along with larger front stabilizer bars.

An optional front brake cooling package is available.

THAT'S AWESOME!!!
I LOVE those wheels. I swear if I had one of those I would never get new wheels. I would go AWD w/ the SUV and RWD w/ a Silverado SS!

i like, my dad is a chevy guy, he has a 99 suburban 4WD.. it is like NEW

powerful and he plans on doing little things to it like i/h/e, performance chip, etc.. ok, well those arent little things but should be fun nonetheless..

as for this trailblazer, i like the power, and the styling seems pretty kool to me..

one chevy truck/suv that i would really like is the Avalanche!

my sister (again, my family is all about the chevy's) has an '03 with about a 6 inch raise, dark gray, bigger/ meatier tires... the BEST part is that all that plastic shit on the sides is COMPLETELY removed.. (thats what REALLY kills the car)

Will it walk on the Cobalt SS/SC? That's the question. :) 0-60 is faster.

I think I would rather have that tranny in the SUV's but in the Silverado's I would rather opt for a manual.

my father and i put a 95 lt1 in his 1996 blazer awd. 300h.p.-------i have a 1996 impala ss and from a stop it is a pretty even run through like 85 then ill pulled on him up to like 105. i dont know how much more the trailblazer weighs but with 90+ more h.p. it has to be faster than my car which weighs 4300 lbs with me in it, and my car stock ran 14.8 with good hook up. if i had to guess depending on gearing the ss trailblazer is goin to have to make a low 14 sec pass.....thats my guess atleast.

Can anybody remember what the Syclone's and Typhoon's were runnin stock on their turbo'd V6s??? I know it was really fast!!!! The Syclones were the fastest production truck ever produced up until fairly recently. I think it may have been the SRT-10 Ram that brought it down. I don't think any Lightnings ever beat their times, stock for stock.

Yeah somebody host it!!
The Syclones had a lot of potential. And the AWD definitely helped the launch.

Well a 4cyl S-10 can brake torque the tires... now if the front tires started pullin even while he was still on the brake and he couldn't keep it stopped... then I'd be scared to ride with him.

Anybody ever notice that even though its not really very scary when you yourself are drivn fast but when your RIDING with somebody thats drivin really fast its a LOT scarier!!! I think its cause YOU actually have no control over the car and the lack of trust for the other driver's driving skills... not 100% sure why, I just know it's scary.

Hell even auto tranny's break loose (I dont think any Sy's or Ty's came with a manual anyways)... ESPECIALLY with a light weight bed over the rear tires and THAT MUCH power for a compact truck.

I thought they were. Thats sucks about his engine. I think you can still buy them though. But personally, I would just rebuild it.

Syclone/Typhoons are STILL going for WELL over $10GRAND!!! They are very rare vehicles. I would have a Syclone if I could afford to spend that much on that old of a vehicle (not sure of any problems that may arise in older vehicles previously driven by other people)

Yeah i know that is the problem you don't know if you can really trust the old owners because they could have bet the hell out of the car.

this happend maybe 8 years ago....he ended up puting a tpi moter in it and swore it was faster than the 4.3 turbo. they are sweet trucks and they are still real expencive there was one(typhoon) up the street from me at the napa that sold for 12 grand with like 60,000 miles on it, i could not believe it

Yeah there was a NICE Sylcone in Nashville that I wanted but the guy wanted $18 GRAND!!!!! Yeah I stopped thinkin about it after I saw the price... :(

It was in PERFECT condition with a brand new bright orange paint job (not like the fast and furious Supra, more like the old GTO Judge's orange.) Cowl hood (no bed cover who really cares though) 18's, etc etc. It was beautiful!!!

It better be faster than the Silverado SS cause I've beat one of them in my Cobalt. Nobody around here has even heard of the Trailblazer SS yet.... So, I'll have to wait and see what they will do.
