It's the SS model, not the base model.

The SS's aren't really out in force right now. There are less than 100 of them at dealerships at the moment.

And to answer your question, obviously someone who is a member of a Cobalt Forum who is excited to see the car they are interested in.

I'd be excited to see an SS on a showroom floor; mainly because I'd probabily be driving it home, shortly thereafter. :D

There are 29 (stock ordered) Cobalt SS's that are currently built and being shipped (in-transit) to dealers in the U.S.

There are also 21 that are currently already on the ground at dealers, and it looks as if many of the dealers who had one (or two) last week still have the cars.

Looking thru the entire order bank (including sold orders and special event & show cars) there still hasn't quite been 100 SS's built yet and not very many have been sold yet either.

Just saw an SS in Jersey on route 9 going south. I just about almost popped an illegal U to talk to the guy\girl. And yea it was red. I see LS coupes all the time, but this was the first SS I've seen crusin.

DAMN those things are cheap!!!! (colbalt coupe) I saw today on the newspaper,
'' reduced price 11.XXX
-3.000 (with trade and cash back)
=8.XXX "
good price for a base cobalt (coupe)

About $12,500 (after the $1,000 rebate) is the cheapest I have seen a Cobalt Base Coupe advertised for here in Utah, this car had an MSRP of $14,190

$12,500 doesn’t sound too bad for a nice little car like this but it isn't enough off the sticker price to get me very excited.
