Hey guys...My SS is still stock and everything but, i was just wondering what you guys think i should do. I mean i got some good ideas on what i wanna do and everything like i just saw a post on here where the SS hit 270 hp with a few mods done. Now its winter right now and im not looking to do much though. Im waiting for spring. But i just want all your opinions on stuff. I want an exhaust, what brand do you think i should get? And im going for a K&N intake but what do you think would be best for performance? I also have my name in for the stage kits so i dont need all the stuff that comes with that. But theres mant many more mods that can be done. So if you could do you think you could answer my ?s in order and then list alot of other mods i could also do? thatde be awesome!!! Thanks.

Well, personal choice dictates alot. I have the Corsa exhaust on order- I figure if that's what the cup cars use, it's probably good enough for me lol. I got the touring exhaust since it flows the same but is quieter. As for intake- I ordered the J-body Performance intake, since I saw someone post 13 hp from it alone.

With that stuff a couple of supporting mods you might want to look into are:

torque braces. (I went with Torque Forward cause his are the cheapest and great quality from what I've heard) They'll help put that power you're about to be making to the ground.

stage 2 or 3 clutch (I went with Spec for the reputation the company has). The stock clutch is crap. With any kind of upgrades at all, guys are losing them left and right. And a lot of guys (myself included) just go ahead and spring for the lightweight flywheel while they're doing the clutch anyway (I am going with Fidanza, again because of the company's superior reputation).

BRAKES. Gotta be able to stop that puppy once she gets moving. I bought Powerslot slotted rotors and EBC Green Stuff pads, although I hear Hawk pads are better- I'm going to switch to those when the Green Stuff wears out.

I would also seriously recommend an aftermarket shifter. My stock shifter BROKE and caused severe, okay beyond severe, damage to my transmission. (read my WARNING post in teh problems forum- it's stickied, so it's not too hard to find).

That's pretty much the setup I'm going with right at the moment. Should get me through next season anyway. Then who knows what crazy stuff I'll start buying????

All of this is just my personal oppinions and preferences, though- so take with a grain..er...better make that the whole damn shaker.....of salt
