music was terrible i couldnt get a good idea of how the car sounds. It looks real nice i just want to see what the exhaust note sounds like so i can compare it to the srt-4..

I don't know..I think it's a little boxy looking. I like the looks of the RL better. I think I'm just gonna keep my svt and put a turbo on it. SS, RL, SRT don't have enough of a "complete package" for me.

And the SVT does? No offense the SVT is an AWESOME car! But what car does give a complete package. And if you did think of one why buy it? Buy something you can change in your own way, somethin you can personalize. I am envious of your 6spd though! ;)

1.) xenon HID's (no way dodge chevy or saturn can beat that)
2.)redundant stereo controls on steering wheel (srt-4 doesn't)
3.) green indiglow guages (little ricey to some, but cool for a factory car)
4.) 300 watt stereo (the one in the srt-4 sucks)
5.) low stance (ss, srt, rl look like 4x4's)
6.) rarity (I mean really, how many doy uo see?)
7.) stock 4-2-1 race header (thats the shit!)

2) tall gearing

Yeah I appreciate that. Sounds nice and at least you buy american.
You just never know with some of these people here on the forum,
they like to trash talk about a car they have never seen.
The SS is a nice package though.
Maybe I'm too old but I never liked the low rider thing. I would be worried about bottoming out.

the svt focus is mainly for looks IMO...lost respect for its performane though when i beat it in my SOHC Civic EX i use to have.....

I'll go ahead and tell you! Either that guy WAS NOT RACING or HE COULD NOT DRIVE!!! Because my 2.2L 5spd S-10!!!! waxed a Civic EX's ASS not just once but SEVERAL TIMES in a row(while ago) and I burnt the hell out of a DX the other day too on an interstate run! I've never actually driven a Civic EX or DX but I HAVE driven an SVT and the SVT would SMOKE any non-boosted (or non-squeezed) Civic DX or EX!!! Modded or not! Now an Si would be a different story, that WOULD be a good race!

The 99 Si was faster that the 02's.

I still dont think it would beat an SVT though. The SVT's are a lot faster than a lot of people think.

Is the Cobalt ss/sc in the same performance area as the S2000? If so, wouldn't the only ford on our level be the Mustang GT. I know it has 4 more cylinders, but it's not a Corvette. Also, I have a couple friends with focuses and one's a SVT. Neither one would say their car compares to the Cobalt ss/sc or that one turbo'd neon. I'm not trying to be a dick, I just think the SVT was misplaced.

i'm an SRT-4 owner.. but i'm glad to see the cobalt SS finally get here. looks ok to me.. looks better then its redline cousin!! i wont say anymore .. i havent seen the car upclose yet ( maybe i should stop by a chevy dealer today ) but having more of a variety when it comes to compact sport cars makes me even more pround of my SRT.


oh and as for the vid!!! well thats a dumb vid.. i just dont like it.. too foolish i think. but i guess i dont care.. i'm sure not all SS drivers will be so lame!

the SVT Focus is an awesome car. It has a Cosworth designed engine, and revs and runs smooth as a Honda. Problem is..no FI. It was made to compete with the RSX and Si mostly. NOT with SRT. remember, this car came out before the cheap turbo craze that's going on now. Trust me, all us on the Focus websites are pissed Ford won't bring the AWD turbo Focus over here! So we have to go underground. Vortech has a nice kit that claims 276hp on 10psi..not bad!

BTW, I have never lost to an Si, Prelude, EX civic, yet.

Yeah my buddy was considerin that Vrotech kit before he sold his. Too bad, it woulda been a beast!!
