Hey guys, I am a big fan of the Cobalt. I cant wait to see them onthe streets. I am glad Chevy stepped up to the plate and came up with a kickass pocket rocket to make the V8 guys take notice.

I cant wait to see some real life pics of them. or even ride in one maybe

BTW, in the pictures provided I didn't see ONE badge stating it was a Neon. SRT-4 is more than efficient. :D

Well the reason I say neon, is because it is a neon. Im one of the few SRT4 owners that is not deluded into thinking an SRT4 is not a neon. ;)

thats the only reason i could not bring myself to buy an srt-4 they are still a neon. dodge got it right with the motor i know this i have an 88 daytona shelby. they make great motors. but a neon is still a neon. they have one of the worst crash ratings on the market to.

Actually if you check the srt4forums, they have more than a few guys that have rolled there srt4's and come out with just a few scratches. They dont do too bad. Although I personally have never gotten into a wreck in one. ;)

Hey srtpolice, I noticed you have 2 breather filters. Never seen a breather off the PCV valve before. Does'nt the breather get clogged with oil alot??? Also does it throw any codes? It looks like a really good idea, dont need a catch can :)

i acutally just got in an accident with mine and IM fine. what your point, you guys gotta get over the whole neon/srt thing who cares what it is, its quick, and it a tad bit faster, but both are respectable cars, I had a GTI before, m3 and many others. but the "neon" isn't as bad as you think, it takes some getting used too, but its really a fun car to drive.

just thought youd want to see what im driving too.

Everyday when people ask what I drive I say SRT-4 then they respond "oh the neon" I just say yeah, or I say I drive the neon with the turbo, I honestly don't care what people think. The SRT-4 is a neon, the Evo is a lancer and the cobalt SS is still a cheap cobalt right? So who cares as long as you're happy.

The SRT4 will hold up to 20" rims they originally said 19" but I was able to experiment with 20".....mind you the tires were 215 35R20. at original ride height. What can the Cobalt ride on other than 18s?

Thats not what owning a SS cobalt or SRT4 neon is all about. Its about pulling up to a guy who spent 40 grand on some "luxury" car with a huge V8 in it and smokin him off the line with your 20 grand car.
