Mines comes on but no where near that frequently! I dunno man, maybe you have a leak somewhere? BTW mines a 05 SS S/C and it's only came on twice in the 6000 or so miles I've put on it since then.

I'm not sure about Cobalt 2.2 technicial specifications, but did they have a mass air flow sensor somewhere into the intake? If yes, that's the most common problem when installing a CAI. This sensor is VERY VERY VERY fragile and maybe you damage it during installation or with the CAI installed it doesn't take a great measurement of air coming throught the intake and give the ECU an error.

If the Cobalt don't have a MAF sensor... I'm confused cause you must have a sensor somewhere to tell the ECU to light the CEL on!

did you clean all the oil of the filter before the install? Did you put the maf in backwards? Is everything connected back up? Just check the easiest stuff first. You can goto autozone or pep boys an get the code scanned so you can see whats complaining. That would help pin point it.

well it's been removed. i looked over everything and it just dosent work. the maf only goes in one way. all the connections are tight. still the light comes on. i called AEM and another performance shop and they both said there is nothing i can do. "just drive it it dosen't hurt it." well that just dosent fly i'm not mad just sad i figured for $200 bucks it would work.
