Well yesterday I went ahead and ordered a Stage 3 clutch and Aluminum Flywheel from Spec. I couldnt wait any longer for anyother company to come out with a clutch/flywheel combo for our cars. I will be getting it all installed at my buddies shop between March 3rd and 8th. I will tell all of you how it is cause I have been hearing good and bad things about the clutches. But my stock clutch is beat to hell and it slips a good amount at WOP in 2nd and 3rd.
But its cool cause Stage 3 and an aluminum Flywheel will be in there soon! :eek: :eek: :eek:

my clutch went out at 4k. GM isnt doin anything about this. one dealership told me the motor is too much for the clutch. i got screwed by another dealership who reported me to GM saying i beat my vehicle. this is bull. just because they made a mistake, now its my fault. its $1300 to fix the clutch. We all need to get together and make our voices heard. i know i didnt spend 23k to have a POS sitting in my garage.

Yea mine slips like no other. But I have so many upgrades that its just not holding power. If I were you I would just go get an aftermarket clutch because this stock clutch is a piece of shit and there is no point on getting another stock clutch just for it to blow out again in 4K miles. I was going to go get another clutch from the manufacturer but after thinkin about it I just decided to get a stage 3 clutch from Spec and an Aluminum flywheel. It is going to be a great investment down the road when I go for real power. Which will be soon with the Stage 3 Head which gains 14-19% HP!!! So that will add about 50 whp! So Ill be well over 300 very soon!

My clutch is slipping bad too. I want to buy the SPEC Stage 2+, but I want to see how well it holds up before I buy.

Its funny you mention centerforce I am installing a r and d unit this friday from them hopefully it works well.

Yes I will definitely let all of you know how the install goes and how it is when i rip the hell outta it after 1,000 miles break in. Yea I go about twice the amount of break in just because I like to be on the safe side. But I will let you know how everything goes!

I want ACT to drop a clutch and flywheel for out cars, but they're saying in won't be out till spring.

Its not out yet, they're working on it... Not til April or May last they told me.

anyone have any info on centerforce? Or when the clutch will be released? i searched there website for a contact e-mail addy and couldnt find one.
