As far as I know there are a few guys running 210-225WHP on www.jbody.org but this was on the regular ecotec which is a different motor than the 2.0 in the SS and the redline.

As far I know the 2.0l ecotec motor should be good for something in the 300+whp range, which should be good for 12's.

sweet my plans will be a pulley to get the boost to 17-20psi, header and hiflo cat then 3' exhaust w/ 3' inlet and dual 2.5" out. a zex 75-100 shot, tokico d- spec shox and springs w/ hodhotchkis sway bars. center force 3 disk clutch and BGF drag radials and 17" bbs 14LB. wheels...... should do 12's it will take 2 years to get it all built that way with money comming slowly ..

Sounds like that would be a nice combo, 100 shot alone should shave off around a second :)

the ecotec can handle up to 285hp before the rods snap. i'm running a turbo on my eco and it seems to love boost. i'm having tuning issues as of right now, so i haven't been past 5 psi. i'm throwing codes for running too rich, so i'm going to have to look into dumping my fmu for a greddy e-manage.

Stock Red Lines are getting 200-213 at the wheels.

What kind of turbo are you running? Are you running stock fuel? I guess not from being too rich.

Here is a great article on how GM went about testing the limits of the 2.2.

I'm running an intercooled T3/T04B set up. I've got an FMU and Inline fuel pump along with 310cc injectors. I'm looking into upgrading the intank pump and getting either the apexi s-afc version 2 or greddy e-manage to help tune better.

hey dont mean to bring up an old post but go to www.year2032.com/ecotec.htm it has a gm performance division testing a 2.2 ecotec to failure on nitrous (and turbo later on) when ever a stock link fails they replace with a stronger one and continue on to make more power i think it made around 300 horse on nitrous before stuff started breaking READ IT

3" cat-back is worthless, and can even hurt performance unless you are in the 300+whp range

The stock 2.0L SC engine should be good for 300-350 HP. Proper tuning is the key. If you are doing it with NO2 be carefull. Start rich work back.
