: New Mods to Engine and FRESH WAX
kelleyperformance 03-08-2006, 05:12 PM well i just finished putting all my under-the-hood mods on her, so i thought id share some pics..... :D also, just waxed it so i threw in a pic lol
Mods in pics include: Dual torque braces(check out that .5mm clearance!!!! gotta love that grinding away noise while turning! ), 05 mount(yes, its an 06 car), DC Sports strut bar, SSC Coil Cover and Fuse Box Cover, Red-Painted Fuel Rail Cover, K&N CAI, 2.8" SFPHQ pulley, and prob a few other things i forgot. anyways, enjoy!
87camaroPA 03-08-2006, 06:48 PM Looking good.
clevelander2002 03-08-2006, 07:56 PM That grinding isnt good, its putting pressure on the motor mount. Thats why I took it off already back in october and was waiting for the replacement bracket. If that motor mount breaks I'm sure its not cheap to replace.
kelleyperformance 03-08-2006, 08:21 PM ah i got them laying arround lol. i need them desperatly! no traction without them, and i dont have the money to throw away on a stiffer mount. its cool it only rubs if i turn left really hard
Sherm275 03-08-2006, 08:43 PM Where did u get the strut from
Sherm275 03-08-2006, 08:44 PM Also what kind of gains u u get by adding everything and the car looks goos by the way. Mine should be finindshed in the morning .
I know it's ghetto, but I put double sided foam tape (the good and thick 3M brand) on the side of the bracket. Some vinyl decal over that to weather proof it a little (part of my business, plenty laying around) and the left turn grinding noise is gone. I figured the tape wouldn't hold up more than a few days between there, but it's been over 3 weeks and it still looks like it did when I first put it on. :D
Temporary fix until I get new mounts and bushings, I'll probably ditch the brace (Weapon R). I notice no difference what so ever with wheel hop using it, stronger and smoother shifts, though.
HeppyCat 03-08-2006, 08:59 PM What kind of wax?
kelleyperformance 03-08-2006, 10:11 PM zymbol, of course :) i got the strut bar from a member on here, he only had one. but you can get them at modernperformance.com or cobalt-addiction.com
HeppyCat 03-08-2006, 11:38 PM and by zymol do you mean the turtle wax made stuff that you get at walmart and parts stores? Or the real deal $45 stuff?
Blue04RedLine 03-09-2006, 01:21 AM Lookin good. I was wonderin who was gettin that fuse box cover. Now it makes perfect sense, lol. So when you gettin the stuff we talked about a couple weeks ago, so you can get those gmpp crap things off :p.
Bflaker 03-09-2006, 07:23 AM Looking good. I wish there was some nice SS's where I live. I see one or two driving around, but I don't think they have anything done to them.
cobaltkid 03-09-2006, 07:43 AM Lookin good man, that wax really makes the color of the car stand out! Mine is in desperate need of a wax and some tint...lol, but I have to wait till I get back to work, been off since Dec16th (in school) and the only mod that I have been able to do was the K&N Typhoon, but I've noticed a hugh difference with it and I'm still gettin 32 mpg on the highway!! :D
kelleyperformance 03-09-2006, 08:40 AM and by zymol do you mean the turtle wax made stuff that you get at walmart and parts stores? Or the real deal $45 stuff?
that 45 buck stuff lol
detroit_tuner 03-09-2006, 09:58 AM waxing is all about the person doing it...period.
That bay looks aweseome though man.
joedashow 03-09-2006, 12:13 PM that 45 buck stuff lol
I think that Wizards is the best wax out there. You can only get it at car shows though... :(
detroit_tuner 03-09-2006, 12:30 PM exactly. The best stuff is not for retail. Anyone that has worked as a car porter is aware of that.
kelleyperformance 03-09-2006, 01:28 PM ya one of our porters actually recomended zymbol, thats why i use it. also, i use a power buffer or whatever you wanna call that thing. comes out much smoother and takes that ruffness out of the back area of the car.
detroit_tuner 03-09-2006, 01:49 PM FOR SURE...Gotta love the wheel.
joedashow 03-09-2006, 02:00 PM exactly. The best stuff is not for retail. Anyone that has worked as a car porter is aware of that.
Definitely. You can get some one their website. Just Google "wizards wax" and you'll find it.
16sy16 03-09-2006, 02:12 PM I think you are thinking about Zaino. Zymbol is the ~$15 a bottle of blue stuff. Work very good.
HeppyCat 03-09-2006, 02:37 PM I think you are thinking about Zaino. Zymbol is the ~$15 a bottle of blue stuff. Work very good.
The $15 blue stuff is not actually Zymol. Turtle wax makes it. For the real Zymol, you have to buy it directly. Zaino is a completely different wax. It's synthetic.
chevyguy1990 03-11-2006, 12:23 AM where'd ya git them wheels at? i love 'em!
kelleyperformance 03-11-2006, 09:20 AM thanks. well they are GM, and i would love to sell you them, except you have the wrong bolt pattern lol
DomesticAz123 03-11-2006, 07:28 PM i love the grill on that and the chrome bowtie emblems just to match it all looks nice
how much for a set of those wheels..??
kelleyperformance 03-11-2006, 10:25 PM well, i can get you a set new for 1350. but, im selling mine for 1k OBO. also, can arrange to sell them with tires, either the Pirelli's i have on there now, new pirelli's, or any other tire you want, mounted and balanced, ready to install.
kelleyperformance 03-11-2006, 10:26 PM Can The 06 Civic Si Beat The Ss/sc
if the driver of the ss s/c is a 4 year old on crack, then MAYBE
SuperBlueSS 03-21-2006, 11:24 PM first off how you coming into jkp's post and asking assnine questions???
SuperBlueSS 03-21-2006, 11:25 PM your the civic killer you should know!
TheToolmaker 03-21-2006, 11:44 PM The $15 blue stuff is not actually Zymol. Turtle wax makes it. For the real Zymol, you have to buy it directly. Zaino is a completely different wax. It's synthetic.
Zymol is the blue stuff that sorta smells like bananas right?
I love that stuff, it smells great and goes on and off REALLY easy!
kelleyperformance 03-22-2006, 03:27 PM good wax, and yes, very bannannay. wow i just made a new word lol. and yes, thats quite a troll. if you really drove an ss s/c you would more than 99% likely know the answer to that question lol
You Wish That The 06 Si Could Beat An Ss/sc. But The Engine Of The 06 Si Has To Have Something, I Mean Its Fast For Not Having A Supercharger Or Turbo
That made negative sense. we already know that the ss/sc bats the si, so what are you on?
why don't you quit jacking up this thread? i don't care if you weren't talking to me, this place is my second home so don't think you can run your mouth here. the engine is alright it's got a respectable hp number, but it's way low on torque.
if you want info on the civic si engine and pics etc, why don't you try using google and that way you can quit bothering us? or take your ass over to hondatech.
i'll be sure to wipe my tears for you...
anyway, back to this thread, nice ride kelley, i love the way the emblem goes with the grill! did you just seperate the gold part from the silver part and then put it back on? it looks great! twothumbsup!
kelleyperformance 03-23-2006, 01:46 PM thanks man. btw that troll kinda needs to be BANNED!!! ya you just go behind the emblem, there are two 10mm nuts. take them off, the bowtie comes right off. then heat the whole piece, and gently pry the bowtie off the chrome. then paint, and restick!
yea, civickiller got banned, don't worry.
it looks really good, i think i'm gonna have to do something liek that, probably body color red or a gloss black. what kind of paint did you use?
kelleyperformance 03-23-2006, 08:03 PM yea, civickiller got banned, don't worry.

just mettalic silver paint with a coat of clear on top. i just might have a gloss black AND red one laying arorund. let me go tear thru my pile of stock parts lol :D . btw when i say pile, i mean like 6-7 cars worth of air intake systems, dashes, exhuasts, shifters, lights, you name it i got a stock piece of it laying arround lol
The Alex 03-24-2006, 06:44 PM Im jealous i wish i was buying my car.
