bzack 03-09-2006, 07:43 AM There is a car sold in Canada called G5 Pursuit by Pontiac. Kinda like an ION/Cobalt but acording to the web page there is not supercharged engine available currently. Just 2.2 and 2.4 Ecotec. Maybe they know whats up and coming??? I also dont get why there are cars sold in Canada but not in USA, its usually the other way around. For example Canada doesn't get GTO.

that's the intense stage 3 kit from intense racing (http://www.intense-racing.com/) it's an aftermarket kit so it is not compatable with warranty
and it lists for $524.99 on intense's site. so that ebay auction is a complete rip off.
also, there is no sort of pcm tuning or reflash, instead it utilizes a maf translator to trick the ecu so it's not necessarily as efficient.
boostedss26 03-09-2006, 07:41 PM How do they increase the boost out of that? the ecu will only let it produde so much. The gm reflash changes that and all they got is a translator for the maf sensor
with a maf translator that basically just masks what is actually happening, it kinda just tricks the ecu into thinking that everything is alright.
kelleyperformance 03-09-2006, 08:19 PM plus its not all plug n play, you gotta splice like 6 or 7 wires. as much as i want to cut the hell outa my ECU and MAF wires, i think ill stick with the mini AFC lol. BTW you throw away fuel like no other with those 42.5 lb/hr, in low and mid throttle, say goodbye to gas milelage! i have a constant CEL (rich bank 1) off 38 lb/hr injectors with a 2.8, so go figure lol
soccer1061287 03-15-2006, 09:06 PM Kelleyperformance, I suspect that the recalibration with the stage1 will minimize gas mileage degradation because the development guys have been tweeking the cal for months now to get the best balance between performance and fuel economy. Keep in mind that you are running 38 lb/hr injectors with a stock cal, so when the computer sees x amount of air, it thinks that the injector pulse width should be what the table says. Not surprising that you are getting a rich code.
kelleyperformance 03-20-2006, 05:22 PM yes sir, thats what i was getting at. i am running a stock ecu, thats the problem. so when the kits put 42 lb/hr, it will be ok, because the car will acutally know it has bigger injectors. mine still thinks its 32 lb/hr, so obviously when it runs the normal duty cycle its gunna pop up rich. but as long as the CEL is on, the car seems to correct it, but still shows that dam light!

No more cutting, its all plug and play. The MAF-t also will not alow the car to throw tons of fuel into the bank. We have it on a car down here and it runs like a champ with no CEL.
kelleyperformance 03-21-2006, 04:14 PM nice, they needed to fix that. btw i have a CEL because i dont have the mini afc on yet, im awaiting my tensioner before i tune. should come out great tho.
Black SS 03-22-2006, 02:06 PM Just had installed last week the kit was 524.99 and 125.00 labor. The kit is 100% plug and play now, there were no wires cut in my car. I am happy with my cars performance with this kit. GM might have a reflash for the ECU, and that might be more efficiant than the MAF Translator, but there is no way the GM stage 2 kit will be faster than this stage three Kit. Where else are you going to add over 100hp for less then $700.00 Installed.
I highly recommened this kit. :)
except that most people dyno 210 - 220 whp so the intense kit really only adds 50 - 60 hp, not over 100. also, what is the tq output from the intense kit?
Black SS 03-22-2006, 07:50 PM The hosepower and torque ratings on this page are from the Intense racing 06' Cobalt SS. With No other mods at all. They are what I am going off of until I take mine to the dyno.
This kit creates to much power for the stock clutch. Mine started slipping the first weekend I took it out to play.http://cgi.ebay.ca/LSJ-ECOTECH-STAG...QcmdZ ViewItem
lmao, the engine stock develops too much power for the clutch. mine slips at the end of first at wot and if i power shift to second it just spins the clutch. there's dyno's on here of people that have gotten 210 to 220 whp, and some have gotten even more than that. that's what i'm going by. also, your link doesn't work.
Black SS 03-23-2006, 04:06 AM My Clutch never slipped with the motor all stock. But after the kit was installed it went down hill from there.
That link is the same as the one at the beginning of this thread.
kelleyperformance 03-23-2006, 12:43 PM if you drive it just the perfect ammount of firmness mixed with skill, it will slip pretty good stock. mine slips all thru first if i go WOT from anything below 3k. second is pretty bad too. if i baby the clutch durnig hard shifts it seems ok tho.

Not when you only have 4000 miles on the car. If you can make the stock clutch slip with less then 4000 miles on it you must be a real smooth and skilled driver. lol I got my Stage 3 kit installed at 4200 miles and my clutch was fine. After I smoked two SRT-4's and a wrx my clutch was smoked. It won't slip under regular everyday driving but as soon I get on it's gone even around 4k.
