CobaltSScrazy 03-25-2006, 11:53 AM like it alot, nice car. Clean very clean. WHY DOES HE GET WHITE FACE GAUGES AND THE SSSC GETS BLACK FACE, that pisses me off!?!?!?
kelleyperformance 03-25-2006, 07:06 PM i no. the gauges, shifter, ARM REST, ha that car is cooler than ours lol! BTW love the yellow. thats what i had my mind set on, till italianjoe1 bought it :)!!
RYCobaltSS 03-25-2006, 08:39 PM wow thanks for all the comments guys...but ive got some more pics to post tomorrow after i wash n wax her, i painted the backs of the headlights black and painted the calipers yellow...tryin to go with the black n yellow theme
2.4litersoffury 03-27-2006, 02:20 PM Hey where did you get your painted headlights and calipers?
RYCobaltSS 03-27-2006, 02:40 PM i took the headlights apart with a hairdryer and marked off the areas i didnt want to be painted with tape and spray painted them, and the calipers i just bought dupli-color caliper paint from advanced autoparts and painted them myself.....i got the idea from this thread..check it out.... http://www.cobaltss.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3327 <---that link is for the headlights that i got the idea from and this next one is for the calipers its located in the how to board.... http://www.cobaltss.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3373
RYCobaltSS 03-27-2006, 03:14 PM i dont understand....148 views but only 7 replys...and two of the 7 are mine....gosh...i know its nothing super fantastic...but you gotta admit that is a pretty sexy pic of my car on that bridge with the sun shining through the clouds...so wheres all the comments
Vette Jr. 03-27-2006, 03:23 PM It looks a lot smoother than the ss/sc for some reson, can't wait till it's lowered
87camaroPA 03-27-2006, 04:20 PM Looking good.
good looking car man, i like what youve done with it and the lowering should really make it look good
CobaltSScrazy 03-27-2006, 05:30 PM can't wait to see it lowered. looks good although I love the chevy badge and wouldve kept it, taken off cobalt and kept SS
2.4litersoffury 03-27-2006, 09:31 PM Im sure ppl love your car theyre just lazy...anyways i have the ss/non-sc too and i looked at a yellow one b4 i got mine (black) and i wouldve have got it if werent an automatic...but i love the yellow and the calipers look great...you need to get a rlly dark tint (like 5% maybe)...the contrast of the black to the yellow would look amazing but i rlly love your car you've done a great job and the lowering is gunna make it look even better.
yea, i'm pretty lazy, but the car looks good!
gretty_d 03-28-2006, 07:48 AM Love it, but what is with the cloth interior? I though the non SC had leather or is it an option? Mine has leather.
distillion 03-28-2006, 07:50 AM i like what u did with the headlights, i wanted to see what it looked like with black painted headlights on a yellow car cuz my SS SC is yellow, i think u sold me on black, keep up the good work.
RYCobaltSS 03-28-2006, 11:17 AM Love it, but what is with the cloth interior? I though the non SC had leather or is it an option? Mine has leather.
yea unfortunalty its an option....i wanted leather soooo badd you dont even know....but if i wanted the leather int. with manual trany i had to get that ugly ass purple SS non sc......so yellow it was with the cloth int. but ive got plans to upgrade to the sc color matched leather seats sometime down the road...im more interested in getting the suspension set up right for road racing, my father used to race scca and he always said it doesnt matter how much power you have if you cant get through the corner the power is no use so im gonna fix up the suspension first with a few parts from cobalt-addiction.com but thanx everyone for the comments ill keep ya posted...springs will be here wed. and im off so hopefully ill have it lowered by then

Oh, I know where Reames is, by Northlake mall, I live, like, 10 or 15 minutes from there.
gretty_d 03-29-2006, 07:27 AM Have fun working on it. It's a nice car.
I have a recommendation for a nice appearance mod. kelleyperformance has one, I have one and love it. It's the Trenz billet aluminum perimeter grille, available at cobaltaddiction. It looks so awesome.
I have GOT to get some pics and post them. I'm debating on whether I should take them now or wait until the new wheels come.
I have everything done except the wheels, and I want to get the saets embroidered with the SS logo.

i dunno..if its chrome than its a no no....im tryin to stay away from too much chrome...infact my stock grill is more like a dark dark silver and i was planin on paintin them a semi gloss black or something...but a picture could chg a persons mind :D
detroit_tuner 03-29-2006, 01:51 PM Dude....Fade out your plate.
RYCobaltSS 03-29-2006, 04:14 PM Dude....Fade out your plate.

Stubbles 03-29-2006, 04:21 PM i think he's talking about in the pics so people can't steal your plate number...or GM void your warrenty.

2.4litersoffury 03-30-2006, 01:30 PM Quick question...did you fill the holes for yur front plate?
RYCobaltSS 03-30-2006, 01:40 PM Quick question...did you fill the holes for yur front plate?
negative...it was a show room car and they hadn't put the plate holder on..and i distinctivly told them to leave it off, and throw it away or put it on someone elses car but not mine
Xander9988 03-30-2006, 04:03 PM Love the car. From what I can tell from the pics, the only difference on the outside from the SS/SC is that it doesnt have the front bumper skirt and the "SUPERCHARGED" logo. Still it's beautiful, the rims make it all happen IMO. Hows that 2.4l perform?

there's no front or rear lip, and no side skirts. and obviously the wing is different.

Ahh, didn't notice the wing (seriously how could I have missed that?) I thought the SS and the SS/SC had the same side skirts and wing, and the SS had no front or back lip. Oh well, you learn something new everyday I guess :)
hmmm, you might be right about the side skirts, though i'm not sure. they look different, but it could just be because there's no front lip and that's throwing me off.
2.4litersoffury 03-30-2006, 07:27 PM the 2.4 l performs pretty well...u can rlly feel it in 3rd gear but its nothing like the ss/sc (i drove for 1 for a couple days)...Its enough to beat the old body style civic si's though haha
Brandon2.4 04-03-2006, 02:10 PM Skirts are the same. The rear bumpers are different all together.
