ChevelleElite 03-31-2006, 08:59 PM update me on the progress.. I think this is gonna be sweet.
2.4litersoffury 03-31-2006, 09:13 PM Do you have 2 different sets of wheels?
Badg1rl 03-31-2006, 09:18 PM one pic was taken before the new rims went on. i have stock and rennan rc2s
2.4litersoffury 03-31-2006, 09:26 PM ahhh i c....personally i like the stock gun metal 18s better
dawhit99 04-01-2006, 02:09 PM I like the wheels, they look badass.
were those rims custom drilled or did they come in the right bolt pattern? they look badass.
Badg1rl 04-01-2006, 07:11 PM i had to have them custom drilled. They dont have our bolt pattern yet...seems like no one does. LOL
i was determined to get something different then the unknowns everyone has.
i think i may be one of the ony cobalts on 20s also.
you're deffinately one of the few. i've seen pics of 2 other cobalt ss's on 20's, so yours is only the third i've seen so far. and you'rs has all that nice bodywork into it too :D
cobaltltblue 04-02-2006, 07:33 AM hey we need a pic of you too. i like to see who actually does the work not some dumb model who dosent know where the oil filter is!!
CobaltDude81 04-02-2006, 10:27 AM thats gonna be hot!!
SuperBlueSS 04-04-2006, 08:11 AM Looks Great- The works looks genuine!
TheBossDogg 04-04-2006, 08:40 AM nice! i love the body work. How much did the drilling for the wheels cost you?
detroit_tuner 04-04-2006, 08:56 AM damn Girl impressive. I'm trying to find someone to drill out a set of 20's too though :)
BTW, is that your mans shop....?
detroit_tuner 04-04-2006, 09:01 AM P.S . Please post a pic of yourself. Complete the fantasy.!!!
Badg1rl 04-04-2006, 03:28 PM yes that is our shop :-) audioxtc and we are also working with a close friend who owns a shop called body creations...they have a paint booth and the materials there for body work. we specialize in parts and installs.
im not sure what the exact charges were for the drilling. i paid one lump sum for the rims to be drilled and tires to be mounted and balanced. so individually not sure what they charged.
if ya wanna see pics of me then hit up my myspace www.myspace.com/1badg1rl
id rather not deter from the topic :-)
detroit_tuner 04-05-2006, 10:25 AM Hey Donna-
Did Rennan do the drilling for you....?
Youloseagain 04-05-2006, 11:09 AM cobaltltblue- are you serious with the castrol 5-30 as a mod or is that a joke?? sorry to deter from the thread but i have to know
cobaltltblue- are you serious with the castrol 5-30 as a mod or is that a joke?? sorry to deter from the thread but i have to know
the point of this question is what..??
Youloseagain 04-05-2006, 06:01 PM cause changing your oil isnt a mod, HELLO!
irishss 04-05-2006, 06:13 PM Production wise, nice work, not feeling the design though.
Youloseagain 04-05-2006, 06:17 PM im with him, nice work but not my style. props though
CobaltSSilver 04-20-2006, 02:33 AM Those wheels are hot! I want a set for my Silver SC!
The body work makes it stand out in a crowd for sure I'm not so sure I'd do it to mine, but it is customized (totally the point) and that I love!
Badg1rl 04-20-2006, 07:57 AM thanks everyone. i should have fully painted pics today...not till late though
CobaltSSilver 04-20-2006, 02:49 PM thanks everyone. i should have fully painted pics today...not till late though
Yes I am intrigued to see the finished product!
NORCALSTI 04-24-2006, 01:09 AM what exactly are you trying to accomplish with this car???
what exactly are you trying to accomplish with this car???
show car, i believe.
NORCALSTI 04-24-2006, 01:38 AM i mean work is cool but out here in north cali we have tons of civics that go that route. But then again different strokes for different folks as long as outcome is waht you like.
looking at the doors will the body kit be cut for the doors cause it looks solid.

yea, as far as i know this car is going to move as nice as it will look, so don't worry about it being slow. also, i would assume the kit will be cut for the doors, they're still in the process of finishing the car up. it wouldn't make sense if they left it solid, there'd be no way to get into the car.

Duke's of Hazard style maybe..... ;)
I think it will be cut too. Looks like it will be a great show car when done and will help out their business.
.................................................. .................................................. ....
I wish you the best of luck with the car. Please post pics when it is ready.
Badg1rl 04-24-2006, 09:35 AM ok well here are new pics. yes the kit has been cut , door poppers added because of teh shaved door handles.
also, yes the car will be show and go. planning on twin charging it, that work will begin monday once we get the front bumper and the bottom of the side skirts on.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Xxkrazy4u/4.jpg
without the front
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Xxkrazy4u/899dafdf.jpg
my rims also need to go on, they are in the original pics. when we were test fitting them.
there are also several other HUGE modifications we are going to do.
when done we should be able to swing with some of the big dogs (Bob Mull, Keith Losier ) or at least i am hoping to be able to compete with them
CobaltSSilver 04-24-2006, 09:45 AM Are you going to twin charge it? If so what turbo is going to stack on along with ecu mod?
Looks like it's coming along nicely!
detroit_tuner 04-24-2006, 10:55 AM ahh the perks of being a chick, and having to do nothing..!!!
Badg1rl 04-24-2006, 11:38 AM unfortunately this isnt what i do for a living sorry...most guys cant do body work either. why spend thousands of dollars to fck something up or experiment? id rather pay to get it done right. thats my perspective. chick or not...sometimes its not all about doing the whole car from scratch yourself its the ideas behind it and the vision of where you want to go with the car.
i cant afford to take weeks off of work to work on my own car. not to say that i dont know how to do anything because i can install certain things and have on my other car. im not the kind of chick who cant even change a flat tire.
i think its a great misperception to say chicks just get everything done for them. we are just like every other guy out on the circuit....and to me the idea and the innovation and adapting a unique vision to your vehicle is how i become involved. if i could paint id be right there doing it but i have 2 jobs and i run a business...just no time.

No shit! I mean how many guys on here can say they can paint a car and do it right?
I'm in a similar situation with my car. There's stuff I will do CAI, Cat-back as an install and there's other things I may not do. GMPP stage 2 for example. I know I can do it but I don't know if I want the headache if I screw something up on a $24K car that with taxes title ect... that I owe 27K on!
Also most folks *Guys and gals* have tint clear bra ect.. installed by someone who's a pro.
One thing I will give is that there are some people out there that can do almost anything with a car from mods, repairs, body work, paint ect.. they are very gifted.
Anyhow, my whole point is I agree with you most guys can't do what's being done to your car. Those that can are more talented than the rest. One perk for you though is you have the contacts and shop that will get it done right. I can't even get GM to handle warranty work properly! ;)
Again good luck to you, and I am very interested in seeing the final product. Make sure it's done right, don't rush.
Badg1rl 04-24-2006, 12:29 PM ^^^ thanks ;-)
yes trying not to rush it with so many deadlines sucks but it will be well worth the wait if everything turns out as planned. Owning and running a shop dealing specifically with cobalts does have its perks, yes the contacts are there and the options are unlimited. It is still costing me a pretty penny though. ive dropped roughly 20 k for upgrades, body work, paint, performance, stereo etc....but i know the car will be able to compete again some of the biggest cars out there.
also have already gotten offers from magazines and to be flown to Vegas for this years SEMA show.
CobaltSSilver 04-24-2006, 01:00 PM Excellent! That will be good for the shop as well. To have something come out that ends up in mags, sema the works. I hope the investment in the car pays off for you guys! It has my vote!
Badg1rl 04-24-2006, 01:12 PM definately hoping it will one day bring us some business and pleasure.
detroit_tuner 04-24-2006, 02:50 PM I really don't know a chick around that can crank off lug nuts(and I wouldn't, yikes), must be a jersey thing...but your car i'm sure will be elite...yeeeeah.
detroit_tuner 04-24-2006, 02:51 PM I was serious, no sarcasim implied. Nice car
CobaltSSilver 05-02-2006, 03:18 AM Any updates on the car in the last week?
PaulSS 05-02-2006, 03:49 AM are you going to get some wheel spacers made?.. that wide body rear sticks out way far it looks.. those stock rims are pretty far from being flush with the car...
domin8_gt 05-02-2006, 03:51 AM Yes! Please! Updates! Any plans on making body kits like yours for sale? Imagine rolling around with that on and the performance you will get on the road coarse because of how wonderfully that kit directs airflow. Info! Please! Info!
are you going to get some wheel spacers made?.. that wide body rear sticks out way far it looks.. those stock rims are pretty far from being flush with the car...
she's not using the stock rims. i would assume the 20's going on it are going to be wider than the stock 18's.

Check the pics from the start of the thread. Those are the rims not the stock.
PaulSS 05-03-2006, 12:05 AM even with the other rims, i can see a noticible space.. i think wheel spacers would be tight either way
srt4klr 05-03-2006, 12:53 AM badass ride!
SpAwN 05-04-2006, 12:55 AM Just where exactly, and roughly, how much would doing something like that to a car cost? Just of curiosity (And Feasibility).
Thanks in advance,

crazybrew609 05-05-2006, 11:49 AM just to bad that cars NEVER gunna see a track.. it's not worth your effor to the do a major preformance upgrades
SHAVED DOOR HANDELS = no track letting you run
but it looks awsome tho

I agree that in most cases it won't be a track car....but why not put performance parts on it that enhance how it performs on the street? I would still put the GM Stage 2 on it since the tq band gets a little fatter, and when getting onto the highway you can always lay the car out up to the speed limit if no one is infront of you. :D
Badg1rl 05-11-2006, 08:50 AM Update:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Xxkrazy4u/351bdf43.jpg
The rims are on, CF trunk is on and painted.
ROughly the car has cost me about 20 k in parts alone not including labor and thats with sponsorships from manufacturers. there is a lot more going in to it and regardless of not being able to legally race on a quarter mile track due to the shaved doors (which i never knew were not allowed) it will still be a fast street car when all is said and done.
For the rims we went with 20 inch rennen rc 2s staggered fitment. they fit fine.
Badg1rl 05-11-2006, 08:51 AM ive got many many more goodies to come. just wait till you see the rest of the car.
detroit_tuner 05-11-2006, 11:15 AM lOOkin good...real nice.top notch. Total chick color though... :)

It's coming together nicely!
Most folks drive their 'fast' car on the street 95% of the time anyway. I'm all about a super fast, custom look, street car.
Go GMPP Stage 2, NOS shot and maybe a cat-back to give some voice to it! That would be plenty fast enough!
CobaltSSilver 05-11-2006, 04:52 PM lOOkin good...real nice.top notch. Total chick color though... :)
Depends on who you are I guess, and maybe your culture on the guy side with this color.
I like but don't think I would have it on a car I drove.
My Father and Brother though love the color. My Father had a 1993 Chevy half-ton in a shade very close to this!
NightriderCobaltSS 05-11-2006, 05:00 PM Love the car it looks great!!!!! I love those Rims too!!! but its not my color but to each his/her own. :D

Badg1rl 05-14-2006, 10:05 AM ill definately have more pics by next monday. ill be going to HIN in Atlantic City NJ.
We just got our trailer today and the rest of the car is getting finished. I have to actually driveout to the shop in a little bit and see what else needs to get done b4 friday....i know most if not all of the car will be done. still going to be missing some parts. still trying to get my hands on some clear tails to paint. GRRR
red_wing_2121 05-26-2006, 03:45 PM The only thing I see wrong is the color. Should be Orange pearl or black pearl.

A1RacingSS 06-14-2006, 09:37 PM Hey, I know im like really late on this post, but I just wanna ask if that whole design was your idea or was that the shops idea? I like the whole look and was planning to do something similar to my car, just havent had the time. The rims really make it though. Its funny, my father built a BMW M6 with a similar idea back in 1988 so I always loved it. I would post pics of it but havent the slightest idea how to. If anyone wants to see it below I will put a direct link to a page about the car. But before I get off topic, do you know what they used to bond the fiberglass or rubber (if you used the original) bumper to the metal quarter?

Nice BMW! That is funny how similar it is to the cobalt being set-up on this thread. Good ideas all around.

Looks nothing like badg1rl's car.
First off of course not it's a BMW and she's got a Cobalt. Now that is out of the way I am referring to the 'vents' Keep in mind badg1rl's car still looks original with her set-up of it, but I thought the vents were 'similar' Not calling it the same car, all around idea of look none of that. I think it's cool and got some retro in it. My opinion my own words.
Get off the crack buddy and go to sleep more than 10 hours a week!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :p :D :D :D :D :D :D
I did go back and look at the beemer again and the side vents do look the same but different so I see where you were going with that observation.
Badg1rl 06-16-2006, 02:30 PM ok well i saw a similar kit on a car on a show on HBO one night meaning the widebody kit and its also partially modeled after the lambo with the large vent on the side. i always wanted something stealth looking...after looking at the widebody design of bob mulls cobalt i knew i didnt want to go full widebody but something different so we mapped out how the car should look and the mold was made out of fiberglass and resin. after the mold was popped we used fuze (sort of like bondo but dries quicker)
so get it onto the car. the other vent toward the front wheel is part of the fenders we sell on cobalt addiction , cut and molded into my actual cobalt body. also same concept with the hood. we took a cf scoop and chopped my hood up and bonded that in.
basically this is not bolt on at all...its cut into the factory body and for the most part is fully functional.

Yeah, I don't see it as being copied in any way. It's almost like saying oh this guy or gal put a front chin spoiler on their car even thought it's different shape than mine they're doing the same thing.....no I just thought it was similar ideas and still have different looks if you will or character to the look. Not sure if that is all coming out right.

A1RacingSS 06-18-2006, 10:44 PM HOLY CRAP... I absolutley love the lambo doors, I wanted to do that but wasnt sure how it was gonna look. Now I know for sure. And as for that fuze or fuse stuff, its similar to Dura Glass? Like a bondo with strings in it? Another question would be is whered u get those headlights? Love them too.

1namillion 06-18-2006, 10:57 PM hey badgirl im sorry but ur a damn inspiration haha, seriously though i saw how you have the pod and have been trying to find someone who makes one or who can customize one for me and install it, but the people that im going to are saying that it isnt possible to do because of the airbags that might deploy...
if anyway possible i was wondering if you could tell me how they did it and if i could order a pod or whatever i love the dual effect of how u have it on both sides
amazing love the car
Badg1rl 06-19-2006, 07:12 AM fuze or fuse looks like tan colored gum. its pretty icky...we used that on a lot of the car. anyway about the pods, we will be selling them on cobalt-addiction soon.

impulseballer 09-01-2006, 06:52 PM from last i saw her she's still sitting in the shop. It has alot more goodies on it now i believe and their finishing up on the twin charging nd wut not and i think polishing the supercharger etc.
Badg1rl 09-05-2006, 08:32 AM ^^^ hey there :-)
Going to DPA friday. wont be there. we are leaving for the car show.
For those of you wondering. the cars going this weekend to Funk Master Flex car show in AC, NJ.
Anyone plan on attending i will be there modeling and hopfully will come home with something. i have my eye set on the huge 6 foot best female trophy. i will let u all know how things work out.
yes we polished the supercharger, valve cover, and all mount under the hood. the stereo system and tvs in the trunk and doors and dash are done. we have to just put some new drilled and slotted rotors on, put the roll cage and rear seats in and do the underbody neons + tune and should be all set. might not be running 100 % but will try to get it to the best working condition and will tweak after the show is done.
mikeyb0y 09-05-2006, 12:28 PM good luck at funk masta flex show. let us know if it'll be televised. i saw one of his car shows on tv bout 2yrs ago....
