Well, i think the engine needs to be built to withstand the power I seek... But I think I can get close to 300hp on the stock engine.. Factory says it comes that way, and it may, but i will change it anyways to make sure it is safe. In my experience, they said it with the srt that it came with mobil 1, but in fact it was just their crap oil. Can never be to safe! i believe the owners manual says to only use mobil 1 synthetic, and i asked the techs at the chevy dealer and they said that using any other oil other than mobil 1 synthetic is grounds for them to revoke your warranty. not that big a deal for you guys, but if they're pullin peoples warranties for it, it had better come from the factory with it. you're right though, better safe than sorry. i changed my oil at 1000 miles the first time for mobil 1. p.s. nice to see you xero, i've been meaning to stop by atf for a while, just haven't got the chance with work and all. detroit_tuner 05-19-2006, 01:27 PM What's you're list of mod's to reach 300 with no internal replacements...? Well, we just purchased some 60lb injectors, and are debating on which pulley to go with. and some other goodies we wont state yet. But we are anxious to get to 300. I am on a goal for 250 for my LS and I think ill be there next month. I just talked to a shop about a turbo kit and I will be buying it all in a few weeks. I have heard WHY? its only a LS. Well i happen to love my car. And if i can 250 ponies out of an LS and get into the 14's ill be happy and It will get others with shitty credit a light at the end of the tunnel. Still at this point she is moving on up! Monday we are installing SS Injectors and at the end of the week my SS Springs are gonna be here and going in.
