i put a k and n replacement filter in my 05 s/c cobalt ss now the check engine light is on neone kno wut i can do

make sure you didnt get the oil onto the MAF sensor. That would be my guess

More air flow will set some newer cars cel's off. Unplug the pcm (battery cable), let it sit awhile, then fire back up. If it comes back run it like that a couple days it should go out.

unplugging the battery cable doesn't work on newer cars. once the pcm resets it will load it's last safed configuration and the cel will more than likely also come back.

take out the maf and check for oil. make sure the maf is in perfectly straight when you put it back in. make sure the screws are tight. make sure the clamp holding the filter in is tight, make sure all the clamps are tight. make sure there is no way for air to get in besides through the filter.

its got to be the MAF sensor

K&N throw cel codes period. Don't waste your time playing with your filter or maf sensor. Go buy a stage kit end of problem.
