i didn't trade anything. i kept my '03 ram and got this. between the car payment, insurance payment, and gas... i save money by not driving the ram. it was 800 bucks just for gas for the ram every month.

A 87,000 original mile 1992 GMC Sonoma GT black/black (#359 out of 806 built), and a 2002 Yamaha R6 factory blue/white.

FWIW: I recently had a 2000 Mustang GT 5spd with only a timing adjuster, and short-throw shifter. Best I ran in this car was a 13.647 @ 102.12 at ATCO, NJ a couple years back; still have the timeslip. This was on a set of $30 Futura (Pep Boys) 225/60/15 all-season radials. Anyway, my '06 SS S/C 'feels' quicker off the line; and to be honest, handles much better.

Almost traded my toyota, 1993 tercel, but instead added a flamethrower kit to that and kept it as a toy.

A 03 chevy silverado with about 2k in stereo, bull bar, tonnue cover, step bars and shocks. anthor 3 in performance parts: intake, H.O. alernator, exhaust, header mafs, programmers elect fan. i still have the engine parts sitting at home, never used, anyone wants: cam, springs, retainers, seats, lifters. (all cranecams)let me know.

at the time i had to get rid of it for gas, was costing over a houndered a week. (had to run 91 oct. and i drove 80 miles a day)

Personally, i prefer the cobalt on the mustang... Performance wise, they are both close (stock for stock), but the cobalt is more confortable, have larger trunk and is drivable in the winter month (in like 2 feet of snow here) :)

It's my opinion anyway.

I traded in a 2000 3.8L Camaro with the RS body package. It had a $1700 memphis sound system and one of those $399 dollar pioneer premier head units. Also, 18" chrome rims, interior neons, leather, power everything, flowmasters, slp ram air intake, and whisper lid.

GREAT car but not alot of potential for performance mods and my warranty was almost up. Only 73,500 miles. It got sold the week i traded it in. It actually passed me going the other way, i felt like i was being cheated on......

Man was that fucker fun...but checked the tranny fluid and it was foaming like a rabid racoon...and that was after i had to replace the Dana rear...i was just a tad hard on her, but she loved every minute of it.

they are ok if you like slow cars that look fast. :eek: but the as far as i can tell from a couple of friends that drive em, they are reliable and built with quality in mind. interior is nice, and every thing is solid/clean looking. not bad cars IMO, just slow... evn the supercharged tc's are slow.

oh ya and... i sold my 97 t-bird to my father so i could buy my RL. I loved my t-bird, but it was too damn big and slugish, even with the v8. my dad loves it though... hes got a thing for t-birds, i think he had one when he was young or somthing.

omg, i guess so far ive got the oldest trade in, got 500 smakaroo's for it too...lol

well grats on the nice ride... i habve it rough too, no ss here. my first car was a 81 ford ltd, peice of shit is what it wasm i worked all summer for it and didnt get payed once. ended up driving my moms pthfinder if she was kind. only reason y i had that truck was a bad accident i should of died in, so i sued.

I've seen them run low 16 high15's. and seen a supercharged one run a 14.9.

better then a stock cobalt..

I traided a 97 cavalier RS with z24 kit on it. i got 3K for it and it had 147K on it.
Still ran great though.

Okay try to follow this. I was driving a 97 Cavalier, gave that to a niece, bought a 05 Blazer w\cash, hated it with a passion (gas pig) gave the blazer to my wife and traded her 04 Subaru Impreza TS wagon (another gas pig) in for the 05 SS and then when we decided to dump the tent trailer for a used motor home the wife swapped the Blazer over for a fully loaded 4dr 05 Sunfire.
Now I realize that by the time I am finished with my engine build it will now be a gas pig too but ooooooooo so fun to drive :D :rolleyes:

I still feel bad about him trading in his baby but he didnt want it anymore because it wasn't as fast as a Z06 (Which he couldn't justify). He then bought 3 new dirt bikes 2 days later so i dont feel that bad anymore. PS: I make the payments and Insurance (Not him) FYI

I traded my 04 sunburst metallic orange cavy LS Sport for my 06 SS/SC. I have some pics on my camera but the batteries dead because I rarely use the camera which is why I don't have any pics of my SS/SC.

Keep the TA and lease a SS S/C for a few years then trade the TA in on a 5th gen. :D

you'd be hard pressed to get a good deal on a used ss. might as well just lease a new one.

Next week I will be trading in my 99 Grand Prix GT in on a black SS SC.
God I loved that car. After supercharging it and 4 transmissions later it is time to move on. My fastest 1/4 in it was 12.85 @ 107, and I hope to beat that with the Cobalt.
