want a carbon fiber hood that has a hood scoopbut wondering if i should get it painted to match the color of my car right now which is the sunburst orange....

ya paint it, or just get a fiberglass hood and paint it! rksport makes both a carbon and fiberglass scooped hood

Just courious why you guys think he shoudl paint it. I also have an '06 sunburst orange cobalt and am looking to buy a carbon fiber hood but I am just going to have the sides painted and leave the center carbon fiber.

i say leave it. it would look sexy with orange and black, however if you paint it, you could fool people on the go when you race them.

i dunno, orange and black reminds me of halloween. it really depends though, sometimes i think it looks good and other times i don't. it's really up to you though, so do what you want.

IMO painting carbon fibre hood or trunk if done right adds class to the ride. no paint is just slapping a body part on and looks out of place .... to me!

HELL, YES!! But don't paint it. That would look awesome. The orange is dark enough for it to not be annoying like if you did it to a lime green car. Also, try some chrome accents like the grill, but don't use it everywhere like on the wiper arms o rthe door handles. Also, get a carbonfiber deck lid and replacement for the cross part of the wing. You might want to also consider black wheels with a silver or chrome rim. That shit would look awesome. Oh, and tint your windows black (to the legal limit in your area).

Whats funny about your WHOLE post is that everything you just suggested to this guy to do, I am in the process of doing myself as well. I have ALREADY got the cross member for the wing in carbon fiber, the hood im trying to find right now, and the wheels I have already found just need to wait till they make them in our bolt pattern. I totally agree that the car will look bad ass with a carbon fiber hood, center part of the wing, black on polished wheels, and dark ass tinted windows, Ill post pics as soon as I get it all done...... :D

so your saying get a carbon fiber hood leave it black and then get a new carbon fiber trunk??
