which do you think would be the better performance car? is the g6 just too big to be fun?

Well what are the specs for the G6 what is HP and weight of it?

240hp, torque 241ft-lbs. i believe, curb weight should be about 3500lbs.

The Cobalt will blow its door off in just about every performance aspect... the only chance the G6 has is straight-line speed, and only in the lower gears.

I will be SHOCKED if the G6 GTP can lay down a 14 second time slip.

The G6 GTP is shit in my opinion.

I do agree that the Cobalt will be faster, but I think the G6 is ok, wouldnt buy one but they are ok.

i agree SS will smoke the g6 and the straight line will be the only factor that might be worth mentioning for the g6

I think the Malibu SS needs to get a REAL manual tranny, I guess we'll have to see how well the tapshift will work on the steering wheel. I think the G6 GTP will smoke the Malibu SS about as bad as the SS will it. Is Pontiac plannin on producin an LSJ powered car? I know they have the Pursuit elsewhere but will theyt have it and/or a GT version here?? All I have heard so far is Canada.

cobalt would win..remember the redline and cobalt ss are UNDERrated...215 to the wheels equals about 230-240 to the crank...so the cobalt ss basically has 500 lbs less weight and same hp..easy kill with good driver...

Yeah basicly the Cobalt SS has some of the better of the power to weight ratio's out of all of the SS's. And i am not saying they have the best but some of the best.
