Hey, I'm new here and going to be buying a Cobalt SS soon. I WAS going for a 2002 Trans Am WS6, but I don't think I can handle the insurance, and I also need a decent winter beater. I'm thinking of getting it in black or dark blue. Just wondering if theres anything I should know about the SS. Thanks.

Awsome and there is only one thing that seems to a problem with the Cobalt SS's there is a little bolt that is only like a mm away from the intake and i has already poked a hole in one car's intake but it is a quick fix. All you got to do is grind a bit of the bolt off.

Doesn't sound that bad... :-S Whats the chances it will do that though?

Like he said its only happened once and that was on a prototype. They didnt fix the problem though, its still really close. There is a thread about it somewhere.

If you do get the SS I would recomend you get one with a performance package. They dont have a dark blue SS...yet. Not sure of any planned future colors. They do have the Arrival blue, more of a royal metallic blue, it looks hot! Good luck with gettin it and welcome aboard!!!
