There are a couple threads open on this with at least two being recent. I would suggest doing a search but i have nothing better to do so i will tell you what little information that i have gathered.

Contents= Its safe to say there will be a smaller pulley, probably a 2.8". But besides that its anybody's guess. Other suggestions have been air/fuel ratio adjustment, even bigger injectors, clutch, headers, another reflash, and the possibility of a "black box" that makes the car "nitrous ready".

Horsepower rating= Of course nobody knows for sure. Some people have said its going to be rated at 270 while others said 330. Its safe to say that it will be greater than 260 but not greater than 330. If theres nitrous in the kit, then God knows what they could rate the horsepower at. But remember that from stage 1 to stage 2 it was only a 15 horsepower gain.

Price= You can safely bet that there will be a stage 3 kit that includes stages 1-2 that will be pretty pricy. Probably with a MSRP well around 1200-1400. But there will also be just a stage 3 upgrade kit for cars already equipped with stage 2 that would be slightly cheaper. My guess would be 999.95.

Nothings set in stone but hopefully we will know by the end of september!

You will need more than a "black box" to make the car nitrous ready. What about you going to do about a fuel pump, FPR, injectors, plugs, timing, tuning, pistons, etc. The pistons in the cobalts arn't even forged are they? If not, your going to hit the little red button that says "NOS", then you can wave to your motor that now has 4 fried rings, and 4 cracked pistons!!!

I'm well aware of the fact that nitrous is a risky mod for our car. But i'm not sure if your aware of this, but there is alot of buzz going on around here regarding the possibility of a nitrous setup being included in the kit.

Now i'm not defending nitrous, i probably protest it more than most people here, but i seriously doubt a 50-75shot (which is what has been rumored) will crack pistons and fry rings immediately. And its likely that its not going to be "push button" activated but more than likely "WOT" activated with an on/off switch

Besides, the factory plugs can take it, the stage 2 injectors are very capable, and theres of course going to be a flash (tune) included.

The only thing keeping them from including spray in the kit is going to be warranty issues, and sheer owner protest.

Haha, well first off, the part about the little red button was just a smart a$$ comment. But, yes, i will agree with you that it probably wouldn't be a 75 shot. And no, a 50 or 75 shot wouldn't fry rings immediately, but what if somebody was out spraying at every stop light, and coming out of every corner? GM could not back that kit up at all, there are too many idiots and irresponsible people out there, that would abuse what GM has given us. Also, the factory plugs could take it, any plug can take it. But it is heavily reccomended to run colder plugs. Also, after a few uses of the spray, the plugs will get worn out pretty fast.

Honestly....i think an N2O kit would be absolutely awesome, and a great modification.
Do i think GM will ever sell a high powered nitrous kit? No, just because of what i stated about the idiots that don't know what they are doing, and like you stated about the warranties. It would be sweet, but i don't think it would happen.

Who knows though!! I guess we will wait and find out!

My opinion I think they will have Stage 3 (possible pulleys reflash injectors) and then have the Nitrous as an add on pack if you want it. I don't see the kit pushing more than 280. but would be suprised if it did. as I said before I do not think this kit will be ready in time for Sept. of this year.

I agree with the September comment. I cannot even get a dealer to find and install Stage 1 on my car.

This would be a nice stage 3.

2.8" pulley
60lb. Fuel Injectors
GM Extruded honed manifold
GM Cat-back Exhaust
Agressive Reflash

This would make more sense. Plus they have all the parts or can get them easily.
I keep hearing about nitrous too and i'm not diging that at all.
