What are the pros and cons of the performance chip? Will it void my warranty? and will it create problems with the air/fuel mixure??? please help, I'm one of theguys that want to go fast, but am scared to screw something up because I am mechanically challenged. Thanx

to my knowledge there are no "performance chips" for any of the cobalts... if you want to go fast get a smaller pulley, colder plugs, larger exhaust, bigger injectors(if you go smaller then 2.8), tune it, get torque braces & tranny mounts & better tires & a boost bypass...or buy the GM stage 1,2 or Intense stage 3,4,5 kit...then again nitrous is an option

There is no chip. If you get an intense pcm you will want to get some sort of kit or piece one together using what they've got otherwise you'll have a tune for mods you don't have.

Yeah I don't know what model cobalt you have but if you have a 2.2, there are no performance chips. If you have a 2.4, there is a Vector Tune out for those guys (not a chip). If you have the 2.0 supercharged, there is HP Tuners tuning software but no chip. Hope that helps.

no such things as "chips" anymore, if your buddy bought one off ebay he got ripped off.
