wondering if that 2.2 ported head offered by gm would fit the cobalt ss without raising compression?

if you buy the "street head" PN 88958619 and put all of your stock parts in it. valves cams etc it will work. Make sure you get a new head gasket and head bolts. They are torque to yield and must be replaced after removal.
