I have one for my 2.4 SS sitting in my room. I just took delivery of my car a few days ago and i've only clocked about 400 miles on it so far, so i'm gonna break it in a bit more before I install it, along with the Eibach sportlines and TWM shortshifter I have ordered too. Even though its a 2.4, not a 2.0 ss/sc, i'll be sure to let you know how everything goes when I put it on this coming Tue.

had one on my ss/sc '06....recently removed.... You won't get any cel's and the supercharger whine is great! Easy install. No real complaints. I removed it to break the car in better due to the fact that even though the intake doesn't cause a cel the computer does not pick up on the extra air.... well it does but it just dumps extra gas giving u more power.... it's great for racing but for city driving with stop and go...you'll dump fuel... and if your in the break in period then youll wash down your clyinders and it won't properly break in... i love the intake though... probally putting it back on the end of sept before i hit the track.

Not to get off topic here but has anyone else heard about the balts being de-tunned from the factory? i heard they hit about 2000-3000+ miles and get stronger.... granted break in is going to make it run better... but the difference seems greater than just being broke in.

Well, read the manual (haha) and it said 500 miles for break in, and seeing as mine has about 600 miles, I went ahead and put my AEM intake on. Fit without a hitch, looks fantastic, sounds awesome, and feels like it made a difference. And no cel either. Thumbs up. :D

had a question i just thought of today. now since the cai isnt part of factory installed parts. would that void the warrenty on my 2.4? im not sure i seen someones pics all i have to do is take off factory air box and that little plastic cover over top the trottlebody and it would look sweet with a blue AEM intake on there. if you know let me know thanks.

lol...yeah a polished intake.... you cant see any of them!!! even though i got the red one..lol
and a ??? why does it list as "this is a ram air intake not a cai"??? what is that little pipe considered??? oh well it works either way.

And yeah 600 miles is ok since most of the break in is in the first 500 miles... everyone seems to have different procedures...
mine was:
first 200 miles: baby it, no highway, constantly different rpms...and tried to hold below 3k rpm.
200-600: still easy, some freeway but varying rpms as much as possible, still under 3k rpm.
600-1000: oil change, a little higher in the rpms, nothing over 4,000...
1000-2500: occasional spirited driving, nothing over 5000k rpm...
2500-3000: ready to drive.... and oil change comming soon.

Yeah the car was probally throughly broke in miles ago, but i've had good experience using this procedure. Now breaking in my big block next year is going to be a little different...lol

some dealers will try like crazy to void it... they tried it with me cuz i had the aem sticker on the intake...but no intake because i was smart enough to remove it beforehand...lol they cant void your warranty unless the intake causes a problem with something it directly effects...like the engine. it will not effect you wipers which is what they were trying to use as an excuse to void my warranty.... 2 days later my car was off the rack, they found no intake(lol) and the real problem was a crushed wire from assembly.

oh yeah and if the 2.4 has a fuse box in the engine bay like the 2.0 don't wire into that...they hate that!!! LOL!!!

yeah I didn't rev it very high when I drove until about 600-700 miles. Even now I still don't drive too spirited, and i'm close to 800 miles. I do alot of highway and city driving, so I broke it in pretty evenly i'd say. I've had my intake on for a few hundred miles now and still no CEL! :)
