So I have a set of Eibach sportlines coming in the mail any day now so thats all fine and well. After looking at multiple posts over at the other cobalt forums and email-ing tirerack, all fingers pointed to the 2.2 Sportlines for my 2.4. They said the ride height on the 2.0 SS was lower than the 2.4 and the 2.2 to begin with, which explains the increased drop for the 2.2 sportlines over the 2.0 s/c sportlines. Anywho, they provide a girthy 2" front/2.5" rear drop for my Cobalt which is awesome.....but might throw a roadblock in front of my modding plans. I had initially planned on eventually getting a set of either 19"x8" Motegi DV5s or 19"x7.5" Konig Tuner 2s, but now i'm really thinking hard about it. I've seen plenty of numerous cars lowered on 19's, but i'm just wondering if this car will be the same. I was figuring in past cases the lack of tire (in due to a new VERY low profile tire) makes up for the increased wheel size, which means it wouldn't be much different than the 17" stock setup thats on it now. Any opinions?

I don't see any problems with that set up. Personally I think I will be going to a smaller rim and not a bigger one so I can fit some tires with more side wall. Maybe some Yokohama Spec-2s or something. I don't think I've seen the rims your talking about so I'll have to see them and see what I think.
