I just bought a 2006 SS/SC and I'm already thinking about the GM stage 2 kit... My Question is... Since its a GM part will the car still be under warrenty???

depends on dealer. ask them first before you have them install it. most dealers will warranty it, but again, they can be asses in the service dept.

Some guys have had douchebag dealerships try to claim it wasn't under warranty. But the entire purpose of the product is to be a warranty-safe perfomance upgrade.

98% of dealerships will be more than happy to sell it to you and install it under warranty. But there are a few dealers that are looking for any excuse to wiggle out of warranty work.

My advice: Buy the kit from the dealer and also have them install it. You should be fine. With all my mods i'm still completely under warranty according to my dealership.

i would say go aftermarket. cuz when you go stage 2 you would want the 2.8 pulley which you'll learn later on does'nt match your injectors. aftermarket FTW

so what is with the stage 1 and stage 2? what do i have to get to make it stage 1 and 2 and be able to get the SC pulley?

here you go,
to answer your initial question, yes it is under warranty! you might have some dealer give you grief but they are obligated if it is a warrantable item.

second,
beamSS is right, your gonna want the 2.8 pulley after you do it, i have the stage 2 and have had it since the car was purchased, but 6 months later (last week) i finished ordering the 2.8 pulley. the reason i would still do the gm stage 2 first is so that the dealer has it on file that they did the work. the new pulley is about $100 or so, & will bolt right up to the stage 2 hub. so if something were to go wrong, you can put the stage 2 pulley back on before going back to the dealer.

just my opinion.

make sure you take such things like the guy above's posts^^^^ with a grain of salt.

the smaller pully is fun and all but before you start makeing changes to the GM set up make sure you have a way of tracking the car's reactions...eather with autotap/HPTuners/ or an intercepter gauge...something along thouse lines.

a 2.7 WAYYYYY over max's the stage 42.5lb/hr injecters....a 2.8 will do it also....now ask you self this..

is that a bad thing?....fuck yea...BUT can it be done...yes but the only issue that you run a higher risk of blowing shit up.

just think it all thro before you start makeing said changes.

my first post was way cooler tho!:D :D

just playin man.....but yes he is correct the 42.5lb/hr units ar good for a 2.9 or 2.85....any thing below that needs more fuel to run properly.

see above post

also, 06Black is very much correct on the pulley size vs injectors. 2.8 and lower will require 60's.
