prepare fo a nice fuel filter and at a hefty price
at a auto shop where i work the filter was $40.00
at our cost/wholesale, thats crazy

they are special. not like conventonal. they have what looks like a return from the engine feeding back threw the filter

at 40,000 miles it was clogged up causing cel to come on
as a lean code

probably something similar to what ford used in the mid eighties, a canister type filter.

Yea, it was some 30 per half hour... Like i said, i have the local dealers and the main guys who are 150 miles away. Service in Idaho sucks.

remember dealer service is not the best there is
smaller shops can install small stuff too
sometimes the dealer is a stay away from business unless it is warranty or unless you have a deal with them in service

true true. i asked around and did some research. i returned the filter and bought one myself from another dealer (50 bucks). then i just took it home and replaced it myself. took maybe 20mins. reset the code and it hasnt shown up, already added 200 miles.

Parts dept. at the local dealer here wants $59 + tax just for the fuel filter.

can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is located at? i just went down and bought one got mine for 19.00 after taxes.. but i cant find the damn thing.. i have a 2007 cobalt ss/sc. any help would be greatly appreciated
