i don't own one but when i bought my EVO we did something similar to this: everytime a few people have the same problem you would post it up and what was done to resolve or fix the problem. this way if enough people have the same problem you can get it documented and get a recall on it. work for us sofar we've got a few things fixed under warranty. just trying to help you guys out, since this is the first year and it is when the most problems come up.

I dont/never will own one but I do know of one problem they have thats pretty big. Theyre FWD and not named Camaro with a big V8. Thats probably the biggest problem with them so far!

Awww, c'mon GTP..don't hate! SS is a nice ride. But I know you miss the F-bodies.. Believe it or not, us Ford guys miss them too. Especially when the '03-'04 cobra's came out, and had no competition in its class.

You make yourself sound like a jerk each time you express yourself. Word of advise, stop while your ahead, before no one takes you seriously!!

I am pissed, I'd rather be driving an f-body. But its cheap transportation and its quick to boot, so it doesnt bother me that much mr vagina.

hey none of these guys made it so you have to drive GTP... so why you keep baggin on em?.. they have a nice car, you might not like it but they do. seems to me everytime they say somethig you just put em down. if you want s F-body go get one some you can leave these guys alone. please!!!!

Hey he put me down first so I was just returning the favor. And trust me, if I could afford an f body right now I would get one.

sorry if i hurt your feelings..... and its not anyone heres fault you can't afford your f-body... a lot of people could go and bag on GTP's but they don't. the point of this forum is to appreciate the car.. not sit here and bag on it... so in not so many words if you don't have something decent to say don't say anything...

and that he put me down first and i was returning the favor sounds real childish.... if he jumps off a cliff will you do it to?

One thing I have been wondering, since I've been browsing this site for a few months now, is why there are so many "top" posters here that don't even own a Cobalt??? More importantly, they feel the need to spout off a bunch of BS and express no real knowledge of this car... From a potential SS owner, that is a big turn off of this site!

Why am I here? Well, simply to learn a few things...

Probably because few people own an SS at the moment, and alot of people just have aspirations to own one. I hope you dont mean me as spouting off a bunch of BS and express no knowledge about the car, because a good number of my posts are tech related and extremely helpful to those less knowledgeable. And when I make a wise crack people shed tears, so sad.

yeah, I am sure you have a big pee-pee too....

Some of you just need to relax, while there are technical errors in posts (and GTP has made some as well), what is the point in trying to prove superiority over another by mocking the incorrect information they were told at some point?

If you want to score 'points' and 'win', go play a pick-up b-ball game with some 4th graders at the local elementary school. If you want to correct misinformation on the 'net, be constructive about it.

Was my jab in my first sentance at MY GTP constructive? Absolutely not, just used it to prove my point. I offer my apology to him. Actually, almost all of his posts are extremely accurate. (Although, I feel a retraction saying that he does not have a big pee-pee would not be taken very well either)

His response may be to attack me as I have attacked him. Then it is a big pissing contest and nobody learns anything.

I make about 400 mistakes a day, I can admit that, so can everyone else. Just harder to do so if someone mocks you instead of informing you of your error.

Well no, I was not making reference to anyone specific. It was just a general opinion I had of the site, thats all. Based on being a member of several other car related sites, I just thought this one is not starting out so well in some areas. Just my $.02... Like I said, I'm just here to learn a few more things about the car, and even though I'm a Ford person, I am seriously interested in this GM product! :)

And really, whats with all the little cat fighting here, and smart mouthing people from other boards???

Consider yourself lucky then.

I will say they are nice for the money but in a general sense they are poorly put together. GM had almost $5,000 sunk in my SS/SC in warranty repairs. Most were paint issues and a few mechanical issues also.

- Front bumper cover paint was falling off
- Wheel paint went to hell
- Slave cylinder bit the dust and took the clutch with it
- Axle seal leaked
- Catalytic converter
- Every emblem looked to be put on by a far sighted drunk

Its definately better than a cavalier, and I have owned 4 of those and love them(2nd gens phase 1 anyway).
