All,
I am about to purchase a black Cobalt SS with 2.4l engine. I wanted an SS Supercharged but unfortunately the price difference is having too much of an impact on my monthly payment... so... I'm getting the one without. Can I mod the Cobalt SS later? Should I go for a stage one upgrade next? Can I put a supercharger later? How much do those cost and where do I get them? Also, I'm interested in fuel economy, what mods could add some to my MPG?
Also, do any of these mods void my warranty?

Great purchase, you bought a great car. They dont make a stage kit "officially from GM" for the 2.4, but there are turbo kits coming out from hahn and shit

Thanks. But actually, after I made that post, I said "screw it", redid my budget and made adjustments for the increased payment. After I looked at what came standard with the Supercharged and what came standard with the regular SS, I knew I'd always regret not going with the Supercharged. The dealer was nice enough to up the price for my trade-in to help out with the monthly payment, too. Will pick it up Monday, hopefully, as they having to drive it from out of state. The things seem so rare, I wonder if that helps its depreciation?
So what's the best mod to get to increase its MPG?

i personally think its because its a chevy.... my 03 silverado lt 2 (32K $) was sold for 18 k $ in 2005... that was back to the same dealer 2 years later with over 2k in upgrates (performance, mechanical, visual). my 05 cobalt was 17k $ and sold last month for 9K $(full body kit, rims, stereo, performance upgrades). And that was even them giving me more then what the cars where worth..... i really think its because its a chevy....
