Ok, enlighten me on what the basic purpose of this is. I know it is to lower temperatures but will it result in more hp or just be safer for the engine???? I plan on adding a 2.9 pulley to my mods without getting a tune (I have researched that so far...this is safe). So is a dual pass worth the money and step for step, what exactly does it accomplish?????

It does just what you say it does. Lowers temps. The smaller pulley you put on there, the supercharger generates more heat.

i believe the duel pass intercooler that you are refering to basically is simaler to a standerd intercooler but with larger fins and the coolant cycles threw it 2 times instead of the standard once the get the coolant to the optimum temp.

But is it worth it? Is it just safer for the engine or does it produce hp??? guys please help before I waste 300 something dollars on something.

Your power gains will come from your smaller pulley, and because your running a smaller pulley there will be an increase in temperature from the supercharger. The dual pass will help bring the temperature back to a nominal level. Theoretically you should get a little more power since it's supposed to cool the air flowing into your intake. Colder air=more horsepower, don't know the formula though.
With that 2.9 you'll be on the edge, get someone who can tune and has an AFR meter to look at how close to 100% your injectors are running and how lean or rich you'll be. but that just me.

your solid with that 2.9 on fuel..... but your IAT (intake air temperature) is gunna be getting hotter and hotter the more you boost. its a good uprgade.... you wont gain overall hp, but it will be more consistant

so it all boils down to this.
Pay 300 for the duel pass.
or pay x thousand when you melt your pistons or blow your head.
