Who are all you Cobalt SS guys? I have seen two blue's and one red in the Calimesa/Yucaipa and Beaumont/Banning areas. A blue cobalt and a G35 at chevron in calimesa looked like they were getting ready to do some runs. One guy was video taping and another guy pulled up in what looked like a 65-67 Chevy. If your on here, what were your resluts if you ran the G35?

I live in so cal and I have a red 05 SS with G85. I raced my friends 03 G35 and kicked his ass.

Ive seen two sedans. One on the way TO my work, and the other on the way BACK. Both in the fast lane doing like 60mph, and me riding all over their asses!!! A red one and a white one. They looked ugly to be honest. I wana see an SS!!! I'll be sure to tell him/her about this place!

I saw a black SS yesterday around 6:00 P.M. on the 10 East in Redlands. He exited at Orange by the Krikorian theater. He looked to be in his 40's possibly 50's(without trying to offend him if he reads this). :D It had the paper plates that have a date written across it(7/7/05). I haven't seen dealers in Cali do this so I assumed he bought it out of state. :confused:

A bunch of us SRT guys and some EVO, STI, RSX, etc etc are meeting at LACR tomorrow. I can't make Irwindale tonight but I would love to see/hear that thing tomorrow night. :)

its not the best track, but atleast its a full 1/4 mile, cheap, and closer than irwindale or fontana(for me anyway)

my car hates that place. it never really runs right when i go there, but then again, few cars come even close to what they should run when they go to LACR

saw a STI with cobb reflash and intake running high 14's low 15's with 2.0 60fts

that same night my WRX went 13.8 with a 2.0 60ft. on the street, i can nail beautiful launches, but at LACR, 2.0 is the best i can do. i think it has something to do with all the rubber(maybe VHT too) that my car gets too much traction, as i have to really slip the clutch to get going with out bogging, and my clutch isnt strong enough to get wheelspin like i can on the street

today i saw a black CSS/SC, leaving College of the Canyons, talked to him, he said he had the car for 3 months and that it was the first one on the west coast. car looked good and was pretty quick

We'll my trip to LACR last Friday didn't really go as hoped. I only got 5 runs in and the first run of the night netted the best 60 ft(2.1) & a 13.9. I kept getting worse on the 60 ft but I had decent cool down between runs so it actually went quicker. My best for the night in full street trim(pump gas, 40 psi in tires, & full weight) was 13.8 @ 103. I later ditched the spare tire & jack and ran some race gas and went 13.7 @ 104.7 w/a 2.2 60 ft.

I think I may go back on a Wednesday night to get more practice as I am pretty sure I can get a 13.5 & 105+ in street trim.

I think I will have a big turbo on it one day. The Nova is a bottomless pit right now so the SRT has been getting neglected. :o

I was really surprised it mph'd as high as it did considering how hot it was and the fact that I hot lapped that last run. I went in the import lane and then pulled right back around and went with the domestic lanes. ;)

I did too but sometimes we make decisions in haste. Thinking back I would have loved to have held on to it and could have but at the same time w/ two kids I could not afford to spend time on a car and if I had kept it, 1 yr from now you would be hearing a post of "my wife is leaving me cause of the car" LOL just playing. I am actually looking forward about 3 yrs to a car that might be more suited for drag racing. If all goes well then that may be the car I get. My wife hates old cars and won't let me get one for a project but she doesn't mind turning a new car into a drag queen lol. Women are funny. We were looking at getting an srt-8 but the deal we got on the jeep was to good to pass up so now I have to have some fun with it "off road" to fill this void in my life. :)

I'm stock. I beat him from 0 - 80 then we shut off because the road wasn't really straight anymore.

Well, i'm just wondering. Maybe he did do a mob on his SS. I think it's a little Bs myself. But I could be wrong.

EDIT: HUH! dude, 0-60 a G35 can do it in 5.5 seconds, give or take. SS can do it 0-60 in 6.1 (going by Car and Driver). And I doubt a 0-80 launch the G35 will lose power after 60mph. If you did Kudos. It just seems odd on a stock to stock race. I think your buddy didn't want to hurt your feelings...j/k

Was an auto, and i have LSD so maybe that helped my launch a little? I didnt beat him bad and im sure if we went longer i would have been able to pull away more.

There was a black one racing saturday at Fontana. I only saw one run and it was a 16.?? @ 91 or 92 mph. I am pretty sure this was their first run of the night so hopefully they got better.

Hey SRT4 guys you want to race a Cobalt SS I have a red one I've raced SRT 4 before I love SRT4s I like racing them but hardly get an offer so lets setup a meet whenever, what I would really like is if all 3 of us raced at the same time that would be cool and I'll video tape it too so everyone can see how much quicker SRT4s are but yeah hit me up.

I work in Azusa but I rarely bring the SRT anymore. You should come to Fontana in November. There was only one black SS out there and he wasn't doing so well.
